REVIEW: Moonbeam featuring Avis Vox - Madness incl music video out on Black Hole recordings

1. Exclusive Club Mix
2. Spartaque Remix
3. Original Soundtrack Mix
4. Boss Axis Remix

Moonbeam’s extraordinary ‘The Random’ artist album/Original Soundtrack caused a major stir in the EDM pond when it arrived at the start of 2013. Through its enigmatically charged singles – which included ‘The Raven’ (“cross-genre sophistication” said MIXMAG) and ‘Flight’ (“enrapturing” – The UK’s DJ Mag), it’s rallied a new generation of Moonbeam fans. Now, anchored around the stunning, multi-linguistics of Avis Vox’s vocal, the Russian duo single-strike again. Welcome to ‘Madness’.

Moonbeam’s Exclusive Club mix beams Vox’s vocal straight to the heart of the floor, alternatively lamenting and uplifting the track’s tone. Transferring fluidly between its English and Russian lyrics and vocals, its exotic thrall is catalysed by the rush of sonic uplift of Moonbeam’s surrounding production.

On his remix, Ukrainian producer Spartaque gives ‘Madness’ one of his classic tech-through-techno treatments. Developing a powerful drive through its punchy drums and painstakingly crafted FX, its angular synths deliver a convincing TKO.

Moonbeam’s Original Mix buzzes with electro fission, providing an even more atmospheric vision for the track. Wrapping things up, German duo Boss Axis bring many shades of house to ‘Madness’. Warming the production to appropriately thermal summer-like temperatures, they provide an entirely unique take on the track.

Dimitri Kechagias review: The film Random by Moonbeam is definitely one of the most innovative ideas and we hope to be able to watch it soon in the rest of Europe too. The next single coming from the soundtrack of this groundbreaking idea is Madness featuring the beloved vocalist Avis Vox who always impress us with her incredibly sweet voice. The surprising element on this track is that Avis Vox sings in Russian as well. The remix package is extensive and must check for any Moonbeam fan. The Exclusive Club Mix is a superb mixture of progressive house and deep progressive trance that will mesmerise you and hypnotise you too.  Deep  basslines, bubbly beats, haunting and mysterious dark atmosphere and the well known minimal synthy lines that add that spacey element on any Moonbeam production. Its the perfect way to start your dj set in perfect cinematic style. Spartaque remix on the other side is tougher tech prog trance rework that pushes the track to the main section of your dj set. Harder heavy basslines, bouncy beats and on top the mouthwatering Avis Vox vocals. With respect to the original Spartaque reworks the main elements in the finest way to add that prime time danceable element to it. The package includes the magnificent original version that you can find on the soundtrack of Random that you should buy if you don't have it already. Minimal prog house with techy elements and the filmic atmosphere that always wins you on Moonbeam music. Last but not least Boss Axis from Germany rework the track in a very unique and sublime way. They add their melodic tech house take  that is super groovy, trendy and fashionable. It follows the deep tech house phenomenon that seems to be on rise in North European dancefloors. What is really interesting in Boss Axis remix  is that they add eve  some male vocals in it creating a brand new vibe for the track. Its perfect accomplishment  for Ibiza terraces and other beautiful holiday destinations like Corfu or Crete in Greece. Its definitely a jewel not to be missed. Love iT!
