REVIEW: Cosmic Gate - Storm Chaser incl remixes on Black Hole recordings

1. Extended Mix
2. KhoMha Remix
3. Artento Divini Remix
4. Mark Eteson Remix
5. Radio Edit

Already immediately recognisable to fans of the Gate as the thunderhearted anthem to last year’s Global Gathering events, this release represents Nic & Bossi’s first post-‘Wake Your Mind’ studio ware. With the Original Mix already applying Force 10 pressure, powered by its remixes, ‘Storm’s second front moves in. With fresh realisations from audiologists KhoMha, Artento Divini and Mark Eteson, floors worldwide are about to be struck by the perfect you-know-what.

Cosmic Gate’s Original Mix has been an instrumental component in their sets for many a month, most recently delighting club & festival audiences in Russia and the States. A high-wire tense collection of tempestuous drums, hats, claps and crashes, driven bass and high-voltage tech-trance synths, the Original (says DJ Mag) is “title-appropriate dark, thundery business”.

“On the remix KhoMha works the pitch wheel like a producer possessed” continues the Mag, with the young Colombian “throwing some heavier tech rhythms into play” on his seismic remix. Artento Divini meanwhile fuels his ‘Storm Chaser’ rework with plenty of the hard, stabbing synthesized lines. Counterbalanced at the bottom end with grinding sounds & FX business and an electro-ish undertone, it’s taking no prisoners.

Mark Eteson’s remix further hastens the ‘Storm’s advance, building it from a full spectrum range of original euphoric and uplifting elements. Set to trip the audience’s endorphin switches hard, the hazard warning has been issued… this one’s going to hit hard!

Dimitri Kechagias review: Whenever I get the news that Cosmic Gate are about to release a brand new single I'm getting really excited and prepared for something special that will represent this German duo in the best and finest possible way. Storm Chaser is the title of their brand new anthem coming on their homebase label for many years now Black Hole recordings.  Its not a vocal trance anthem, its not a fluffy flirty trance track in contrast is a hard punchy and bouncy big room club trance ANTHEM  with the euphoric synths that are characteristic for  Cosmic Gate tunes. Ultra fat and sharp to the bone the German duo have cooked something very exciting that will be played a lot this summer cause will bring immediate gratification to trancers worldwide. If you want a tougher rework with electro and tech trance touches the young talent Khomha shakes, smashes and rearranges the original in his own perfect way with tribal latin beats, basslines to slap your a** and the euphoric melodies to tease and please. Peak time club slammer for party hard people. The beloved Dutch dj and producer with the nice smile Artento Divini is on board as well. He is well known for his energetic trance sound and he does here what he can best with bouncy deep haunting basslines, tough rocking beats and  breakdown that plays with the listener as it stops for a while and unleashes the big synthy stabs in full effect to lead on the very hard and raunchy climax. Perfect to dance and go for a wild ride with your bicycle. Last but not least Mark Eteson delivers his hard tech trance rework ready made to impress the UK clubs and international festivals. Excellent breakdown reveals the rave style distorted synthy lead to cause mayhem. When the beat kicks back nothing will be the same anymore. The climax is full on hands in the air club crasher to unite into one mass the audience and make them explode. Storm Chaser as title describes well the content. Dont miss the trance sound of now. Love iT!
