Dimitri Kechagias review: The legendary record label Perfecto records continues to be a winner in the current explosion of EDM with great releases that become instantly crowd favourites. The well known UK duo Filth & Splendour is next with their fantastic tune Gold featuring the dynamic indie dance performance by Marisa. The single comes with an excellent remix from the legend and beloved hero of dance Paul Oakenfold. If Paul Oakenfold and some other bright and passionate people like him were not around I feel that EDM would be in very different state nowadays for sure. His remix is EDM USA house style with punchy raw basslines, bouncy jumping beats and euphoric feel good melodies in the breakdown. Rough and hands in the air is ready made for dancefloor domination. The original mix is an interesting hybrid of electronica, trance and progressive house in what some call indie dance sound. Its definitely an eclectic affair that will find support from prog house babies and trance fluorescent friends too. Very original and energetic will destruct the dancefloors near you so better learn the lyrics by heart and sing a long with the rest of the stadium crowd. Last but not least the Egyptian Magician Moe Ally proves that he deserves all the buzz around his name with a thunderous cracking tornado size big room progressive house remake.
