Flux Focus on Empress Recordings first release Danny Stubbs - Orion

Early radio play from Solarstone,Max Graham,Steve Anderson

Welcome to the launch of Empress Recordings.

Our first release has to signify exactly what we are about in terms of quality, direction and where we aim to be in the future.

This package 'Orion' represents all that for us. The Original has power, warmth and all the elements needed for a dancefloor on the build up then leads us into a beautiful breakdown full of melody and evocative vocals, taking your breath away.

Beat Factory have such a consistent way of taking a track so deep and interesting which really shows in their remix. A strong groove and powerful pulsating bass combined with plenty of atmosphere, then leads into this dark and emotive breakdown which tugs away at your emotions. The transition back into the groove is absolutely brilliant and doesn't fail to impress.

Their remix of 'Moon Draws ft Ange' on Baroque Records caught our attention, they were a must have for the label.

Future Disciple takes the track and absolutely nails it in his own unique way.

The use of uplifting chord stabs & big builds, leading to this dark twisted & driving acid drop leaves your jaw dropping and feet tapping, craving for more everytime the kick drum rests.. Almost not wanting the track to end - A beast of a remix.

His remix of 'Federation - Quiero, caught our attention and so again, he was a must have for our label. Thomas Lemmer's chillout version has to be heard to fully understand the beauty of this remix. The piano melody sits perfectly creating overwelming feelings in parts that lift you, then bring you back down to the darkness before lifting you again. Thomas' work is so inspiring to us, keep an eye out for more remixes from him on Empress Recordings.

Last but in no means least is the Synapsis remix. Synapsis is the alter ego of Tim Angrave who was introduced to us by Thomas Lemmer. He has created this whole new adaptation of the original that sits nicely in the deep proggresive section. His beautiful plucky lead melody carries you in a whole new direction, floating on top of a repetetive, bouncing almost suction like bed of drums and bass. Taking the atmospheric chords to a whole new level & creating even more interest.

This is a brilliant release for us and hopefully for you too. We can definitely say we are proud to have each and every one of these guys on board.

Release Date: April 10th

Dimitri Kechagias review: A very diverse release is the starting point for Empress Recordings. Label owner Danny Stubs presents the magnificent track Orion that is supported by wide variety of interpretations. The original mix is perfect warm up material that trance or prog house djs will find really useful to use as foundation in their sets. The breakdown with the cool melodies, the exotic vocals and the whole production stands out. Beat Factory productions are fantastic and on this remix stay true to their good reputation with a deep melodic prog house gem that will win you from the first hearing without delays. Bubbly, blissful and hypnotic is definitely a real winner. The trance family is represented by Future Disciple who service another driving progressive trancer with great energy and depth of the sound textures at the same time. Of course the psy trance influence is evident in it as well so I guess many psy trance djs will play it as well. Thomas Lemmer version will sooth and relax your senses perfect for that coming down moment after a heavy sweaty night out. Lastly the deep melodic prog house meets trance version by Synapsis. Deep, groovy, dreamy with synths working like magic upon the techy electronic beat. Head down and let the magic happens. Discover this strong release, Good luck to Empress recordings
