Danish duo Hampenberg and Alexander Brown return with their second foray into urban dance, and its set to illuminate dancefloors everywhere. You’re A Star features Busta Rhymes and Shonie and is released under the disco:wax imprint.
Both firmly established in their home nation, Morten Hampenberg and Alexander Brown are two of the most recognisable faces in the current crop of outstanding Danish EDM talent. Hampenberg is a renowned producer and Alexander Brown is one of Denmark’s top DJs. As a duo, their discography already includes three platinum singles plus one gold and one platinum album. Internationally, they smashed into our collective consciousness in 2012 with Raise The Roof – a collaboration with megastars Pitbull and Fatman Scoop. Morten Hampenberg, under his MOAM alias, also remixed two huge Tiësto-supported Example tracks last year and produced Example’s single Say Nothing.

Dimitri Kechagias review: After the massive Raise the Roof the very talented duo Hampenberg and Alexander Brown deliver an excellent full on clubfloor slammer called You're A Star. The extended mix is funky club house style track with tribal beats, electro kissed basslines and latin infusions as well. The excellent sing a long vocals included ensure that this track can become easily a hit for pop dance radio stations and clubs as well. Alexander Brown transforms the original into a massive hands in the air epic prog hous banger with awesome melodic synths and rough and ready for action basslines. Big Rock mix as the name suggests is a powerful hardhouse dynamite ready to explode. John Christian remix has as characteristic element a hi-nrg synthy melody in the breakdown that adds a tottely different sound. His main part is bass banging with weird glitzy distortions and a lot of phatt basslines. Lastly Nick Naes remix is a very cool hybrid of nu rave and rough dubstep. Nick introduces a brand new strings based melodic theme and he stands out straight away. Its a massive club anthem not to be missed. Love iT!
