REVIEW: Danilo Ercole - Profundo & London Eye out on Coldharbour Red/Armada Music

1.Profundo (Original Mix)
2.Profundo (Tucandeo Remix)
3.London Eye (Original Mix)

Brazilian Danilo Ercole receives a second outing on Coldharbour for 2012, and presents two tracks of the hypnotic and twisted variety. Following on from his Los Angeles ’12 sprinkled efforts A Man with Two Names and Quasar, the mood darkens further with Profundo and London Eye - perfect fuel for those pre and post peak hour moments in a set.

A favorite of many listeners throughout the Global DJ Broadcast Ibiza Summer Sessions season, the original of Profundo captivated audiences during Markus Schulz’s extended and solo sets. Boasting the dark ingredients Coldharbour has been famed for, it is supplemented with strong tech elements that can easily be attributed towards Danilo. Irish duo Tucandeo assume remix responsibility, providing a more uptempo feel whilst maintaining their trademark deeper grooves.

Complimenting Profundo is London Eye. Not quite as sinister as Profundo, but one that is just as likely to send you on a hypnotic trip. It is a perfect method in setting the tone for a warmup or extended set.

With both tracks receiving a plethora of support on Global DJ Broadcast, fans will no doubt be well accustomed to the sounds of Profundo and London Eye. And for Danilo, he shows that he continues to be a name well worth keeping tabs on.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Coldharbour Red is the more club oriented sublabel of Markus Schulz globally respected Coldharbour recordings. The brand new release comes from the very able hands of Danilo Ercole who delivers an excellent EP for those darker moments of your dj set that is all about the mood, the atmosphere and the texture of music. Profound is dark driving number with haunting basslines, unsettling atmosphere and great rhythm to keep the body fluids boiling. The excellent Irish project Tucandeo service a mouthwatering version  that transforms the understated original into a big room epic progressive trancer with great piano melody in the breakdown and great uplifting climax. Its dark but you have the sense that there is light at the end of the long tunnel. Second great original from Danilo is the quality London Eye. Get ready for a magnificent trip for 9 minutes. Techy drum beats, blippy style electronic melodies and constant movement and progression that takes you in many different places for sure. Its the kind of track that you can only enjoy if you  close your eyes and allow the sweet music do its magic. It will crip under your skin and will become one with your blood.  If EDM is in your DNA then this production will speak to you for sure. Underground groovy prog trance with psy trance influences too. Top Stuff. Love iT!
