Sebastian Weikum returns with his second release for Colorize, with the double header Oxygen / Escape.
Oxygen typifies Sebastian's melodic take on progressive. Deep but driving, Oxygen's lush chords and delicate melodies are crowned with some superb tribal vocal samples that really make this record stand out and become a feature of this EP.
Again focused around tribal vocals, Escape is very much an extension of Oxygen, albeit slightly more trancey. Remixing Escape is a fresh face to the label Hazem Beltagui, who takes the track in a deeper direction, chopping the vocals and introducing neat piano lines to make a remix that really offers something different to the package.

Dimitri Kechagias review: The very talented producer Sebastian Weikum delivers his latest progressive trance beauties on Colorize and he seems that he has the knowledge and the skills to build his own vision of trance and very easily to pull in its colorful soundscapes the listeners. Oxygen is a warm progressive trancer that its main elements are the ethnic tribal vocals that add certain feeling of freedom, independence and relaxation as well. His melodies are sweet and dreamy and the rhythm is very danceable perfect to warm up your clubbers with it and slowly uplift their senses. For the Escape he applies once again the very cool ethnic tribal style vocals but this time he keeps them at the background while at the front brings the very strong synthesizer electronic style melodic riff. The great melodic theme opens to your imagination soundpathways to escape for a while and meditate as well. Lastly Hazem Beltagui follows the deep progressive house route and he reshapes the track into a really cool balearic house sound that is calming and very danceable at the same time.
