Amsterdam-based RAM has always found ways to demonstrate his all-round passion for Electronic Dance Music. Under his new pseudonym Gecko he will release innovative, fusion-styled productions. His first track 'Dizko' delivers a collaboration with Dutch artist Adam Seller.
Dizko, inspired by the legendary floor-filling S.O. Project track Direct Dizko from the late 90's, fuses the best of past and present EDM into a buzzing highlight for any dj set. Dimitri Kechagias review: Lange recordings is the label that serves the club scene with real bombs that are open minded and most importantly are open to various influences and sound colours. The latest by RAM pres. Gecko & Adam Seller is the official Anthem of Ultrasonic Festival 2012 and is called Dizko. Better not freak out yet cause Lange is not going disco house of course. The unforgettable club classic Direct Dizko inspired the producers to compose a bouncy club banger that can easily pigeonholed as prog trance with big room and progressive house elements. Its certainly a BIG club record that will crossover various music styles and genres very easily. The original mix includes a superb dubstep sequence as well to tease the listener and start thinking if he put the needle on the wrong record and then it goes full on with booming basslines and fat techy drum beats. The main melodic theme is Disco inspired with hi-nrg disco style that will raise many hands in the air and can even make some to take their disco wig out of their wardrobe. There is of course the Dubless mix that is like the original minus the dubstep sequence. It has the word Ibiza Anthem written all over it and I can even see it crossover to the mainstream. Big potential for sure. Love IT!
