REVIEW: Walsh & McAuley meets Slyone vs Jurrane - In This Light on Touchstone Rec.

1. Walsh & McAuley Mix
2. Original Mix
3. Slyonve vs. Jurrane Mix

Our 4th release on Touchstone Recordings comes from Northern Ireland's hottest property, Walsh & McAuley, who have teamed up with the now sadly defunct Slyone vs. Jurrane. On the table. A better swansong for that partnership though you could not hope to find, as 'In This Light' is a wicked bigroom trance record.

First up we have Walsh & McAuley's main mix, with all of the guys' trademark production tricks in place, this is a fabulous bigroom mix, crunchy percussion backs up the soaring melodies and pin-sharp production. Slyone vs. Jurrane's swan song is a slightly tougher affair, anyone familiar with their output will lap up their driving blend of sounds.

The Original mix is where the two production teams go head to head, resulting in some peaktime trance mayhem.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Touchstone is the quality trance label of Solarstone under the umbrella of Black Hole recordings. The brand new release is a massive uplifting trancer in its purest form of course. Its time to go back to the roots and enjoy feel good uplifting trance with super strong melodic theme that is based in harmony and music composition and not on ease to impress gimmicks. The fantastic Irish duo Walsh & McAuley meets Slyone vs Jurrane (who don't exist anymore as production duo) and deliver the inspiring In This Light. Within the extensive package of this release you can find the original mix and remixes from each of the two production duos. 4 minds in one studio united for one track can only be a positive thing for the listener. The Original mix is a powerful dynamic and very energetic uplifting trancer with solid rocking beats, cool basslines and some acid touches as well. The breakdown is long and atmospheric with Balearic feel good touch to it. Warm melody is coupled with heavenly style vocal samples followed by huge synthy lead that drive us to the big hands in the air climax. Walsh & McAuley remix is more progressive trance minded with balearic trance overall atmosphere to it. Dreamy, sincere, hopeful, feel good and very inspiring as well cause it opens up your heart and eyes of soul to let the melody heal the pain and wounds. Lastly Sly one vs Jurrane is the stronger remix that is smashing and banging with solid and tight beats and great melodic layers to offer that euphoric feeling that only good trance music can of course! Love IT!
