REVIEW: Kelman & Lennon - Stereo Da Funk, Essencio out on Avanti

1. Stereo Da Funk
2. Essencio

Kelman and Lennon present their debut single “Stereo Da Funk” on the Avanti imprint, backed with “Essencio”.

Craig Kelman and Stevie Lennon are both from Glasgow and first met on the Glasgow club circuit back in 2002. Over the years the boys have held down countless weekly residencies at some of the leading clubs up and down the United Kingdom, which has helped them earn the respect and reputation as two of the hottest DJ talents. Musically the pair's open mindedness moves their sets from soulful to deep house and from techno to progressive. Their first release ever was the single "Starky's Revenge" a filtered disco single that received some phenomenal support all over the U.K.

Now re-introducing themselves through the Avanti imprint, Kelman and Lennon release two hot house cuts on the club tip. Both tracks sport a bright and positive arrangement with subtle hints to some of the more club friendly trance releases of today. Both “Stereo Da Funk” and “Essencio” can be played back to back, offering a marvelous opportunity for every DJ to create a massive mix transition to get the party started!

Dimitri Kechagias review: Avanti is the cool prog house imprint of Black Hole recordings releasing some big club movers. The latest EP comes from the Scotish hands of Kelman & Lennon who deliver the two club crackers Stereo Da Funk and  Essencio. Stereo Da Funk is a big room melodic balearic prog house anthem with elements of what we currently term as Swedish house sound with pianos and large synths to bring that much needed euphoria. Its not the tough variation of the genre. Its rather a cool really summery rendition that is energetic but not over the top. The same Ibiza feel good vibes are kept on Essencio. If you have been to Ibiza and you have passed through a sweaty club night you will recall all these scenes while you hear Essencio.  Cool house beats, drums and great percussion all through, warm feel good welcoming atmosphere, great airy fairy piano melody and uplifting synths that will touch you like the sweet afternoon summery breeze with the salty flavour! Crossover tracks that prog trance djs can play as well. Ibiza Anthem 2012,  Essential for your sets! Love IT!
