George Acosta presents his new single “Like Home” on the Songbird imprint, with the touching vocals of Lizzie Curious.

Miami based DJ/Producer George Acosta has been active in the industry for more than 20 years. As the founder of his own Waxhead Records label, he remixed countless artists from the B52s to Ultra Nate to Jon Secada and released seminal mix compilations like “Miami Beach Bash” and “Trance Nation America”. In 2007 he became America’s Best DJ, received a Grammy nomination for a remix he did for Fabulous and became member of the ‘Remix and Producer’s Grammy Committee’. Early 2010, George Acosta signed with Black Hole Recordings and recorded the mix compilation “From Miami To Amsterdam” and made the artist album "Visions Behind Expressions", which harvested the singles “Beautiful”, “Love Rain Down On Me”, “True Love” and “Tearing Me Apart”. George is currently working on a new artist album, due for release on a still to determined later date.

“Like Home” is George’s follow up to his recent single “To The Sky”. With this new single George is probably the first this year to add an Ibiza Mix and Dub to the single package, clearly stating what “Like Home” stands for. Pure energy packed in skillfully produced trance with some minor tech trance influences, but with the superb vocals by Lizzie Curious to top things off perfectly for the dance floors.



Dimitri Kechagias review: The superb American dj, producer and label owner George Acosta teams up with the singer with the angelic charismatic voice Lizzie Curious for the summer anthem Like Home on Songbird imprint, well known for that laidback ISOS sound. Like Home is an awesome production that comes in a sun shinning package of 4 great versions to pick and add in your set feel good vibes and strong emotions too. George Acosta has the ability to capture the moments of life and translate them into music. With progressive house at the forefront of EDM  his music is a great hybrid of progressive house with strong trance elements so you can not easily distinguish in which category belongs as it sounds perfect in both type of dj sets. Encore remix is a travelling progressive beauty with bubbly beats, drivng basslines and blissful airy melodies on top. The breakdown reveals the magical voice of Lizzie Curious who really give her best performance as she sounds so deep,emotional, fragile and optimistic at the same type. Superb piano melody is added on top that leads the track forward creating a romantic summery atmosphere that comes to its climax on the 2nd longer breakdown. Khomha Sunrise remix as the title suggests is a warm balearic melodic progressive house meets trance style version with tribalish beats and very strong piano melody in the breakdown that sounds really classy. The main part has the  fantastic climax you were wishing for with bouncy beats and electro style synthy lead to get those hands in the air. Quality production from start to finish for sure. Last but not least the Ibiza Mix/Ibiza Dub mixes are adopting a smoother balearic trance style with sea waves sound effects and the great vocals by Lizzie on top shinning and decorating the calming and very relaxing cinematic atmosphere of it. The breakdown is perfect to excite the audience, get them clapping their hands and sing a long with Lizzie's lyrics. The climax is more upbeat with gigantic synthy stabs and violin riffs as well that add a romantic retro feel to it. Pure class ready for the summer days and nights! Love iT!
