REVIEW:Jake Shanahan - Everclear incl. First State Edit on First State Music

1-Original Mix
2-First State Edit

Loud and proud Boston native, Jake Shanahan is the latest signing to the First State Music camp.

The First State crew initially discovered the talents of Shanahan back in 2011, while compiling "The Whole Nine Yards".

Jake's collaboration with Sebastien Lintz entitled "Passion" was featured on the compilation and Since then Jake was on the First State radar, who, not long after, swooped in to sign the young American to their label.

"Everclear" is a welcomed debut by Jake to the First State Music family, being the ideal follow-up to First State's "Reloaded" in the label's step towards its adjusted focus in the EDM world.

"Everclear" is a prime example of text-book Progressive House with a Big-Room riff that's stand-out and catchy, that eventually builds to a frenzied foot-stomping drop, driven by massive kick, accompanied with a swelling bassline that just demands a fist-pump or two.

Added to the package is a First State Edit, who, for the most part, left the original untouched, and only felt to subtract a few segments to keep the overall "high energy" of the track constant.

Check it out, and you'll hear just why producer Jake Shanahan calls this track his "Monster".

Dimitri Kechagias review:  First State music headed by the superstar dj and producer First State strikes back with another big club banging prog house smasher that many epic prog house djs will adore and will drop it again and again as it is simply a monster anthem. It sounds so Swedish but the producer is from USA. Jake Shanahan builds his good global reputation   with great remixes and originals but now sounds the right time for his ultra large club cracker to come out and make clear that Jake is a talent with a lot of potential and creative ideas. Huge synthy pizzicato style riffs  perform an addictive melodic theme before a brand new synthy lead melody appears to lead the track in its peak time part that will cause phenomenal distraction on any dancefloor that you will drop it. Electro chunky beats and playful basslines with keep the clubbers moving as it would be hard to resist the big festivals kind of rhythm and drive. First State add his edit as he knows better than anyone else what the dancefloor needs. So some short adjustments are enough to crank up the speakers and make something already BIG even Bigger.  If you love big room epic prog house bangers dont even consider to miss this very promising dinosaur size track. Love iT!
