REVIEW: Matt Skyer - Throwing Swords / Locust on Discover Dark

1-Throwing Swords
2-Locust

Matt Skyer, winner of the recent Sean Tyas remix competition, steps up for his first solo release on Discover Dark with this superb tech trance E.P.

Throwing Swords is tough as you like techno with a perfectly crafted trance breakdown which Matt merges together with seamless ease.

Locust first appeared on the excellent Indecent Noise album "Dark Sessions" and now gets a full single release in its own right as part of this E.P.

Dimitri Kechagias review: If you feel on your dark moods and you consider to drop some fantastic dark tunes on your trance set the first label that you should check is Discover Dark that knows better than anyone else the tech trance genre. Matt Skyer service you with two exciting uplifting tech trancers that will stay inside your record box for long. First of all is Throwing Swords. Its a powerful banging tech trancer that for 8.23 minutes will get you on your high horses so be prepared for a surprising ride. Bouncy super fast beats on the hard trance tip land on the huge breakdown that is melodic and atmospheric as we love it to raise those hands in the sky but don't be fooled cause Matt will twist everything around and with plenty of effects such as flangers will turn the track into a manic tech trance rocker for the big dark rooms. Locust adopts a deep tech trance style beat  that is tough and rough as we like it to be that will lead us on the exceptionally crafted breakdown that its main point is the fantastic hair raising synth that will blow your socks off. The climax in the main part is dark and sinister with threatening basslines that sounds like The Birds attacking the clubbers and the dj too. Top productions, Love It!
