Last night, at the International Dance Music Awards show in Miami, Armin van Buuren received 4 awards. The Dutch DJ/producer, who’s in the middle of his A State of Trance 550 world tour, won the IDMA’s for ‘Best Trance Track’, ‘Best Global DJ’, ‘Best Radio Mix Show DJ’ and ‘Best Podcast’. Armada Music, the label of which Armin van Buuren is co-founder, won the prestigious award for ‘Best Global Record Label’ for the fourth year in a row.
The ‘Best Trance Track’ IDMA was awarded for Armin’s collaboration with singer Nadia Ali, ‘Feels So Good’. The IDMA for ‘Best Radio Mix Show DJ’ couldn’t have been a greater gift, especially now that Armin is in the middle of celebrating the 550th episode and 11th birthday of his A State of Trance radio show. Other prestigious IDMA’s include ‘Best Global DJ’ and ‘Best Podcast’ for his A State of Trance Podcast.
This Sunday, March 25th, Armin closes the Miami Winter Music Conference with the 5th event of his A State of Trance 550 world tour. The show, taking place at Ultra Music Festival, will be broadcast live via www.astateoftrance.com.
The International Dance Music Awards, officially part of the Miami Winter Music Conference, is regarded as the leading award show in the international dance music industry. Awards were presented for 55 categories, of which Armada Music received 5. More than 2 million votes from over 180 different countries came in this year. With more than 60.000 visitors from 70 different countries, the Winter Music Conference is the highlight to many DJ’s, artists, promoters and clubbers.
