Since the release of ‘Kiss From The Past’ on June 13th 2011, the rumor mill on the internet forums has been in overdrive. Allure was back - and how! A full-on artist album, distributed in over 20 countries: no less than 14 pure unadulterated trance tracks featuring familiar former Allure vocalists like Christian Burns, JES and Emma Hewitt. Tiësto’s tweet “Listen to my @allurelive project which I am involved in” fueled the already piping hot discussions even more. As the title hints, the legendary producer Tiësto, who has been involved with the Allure project since its inception, wanted to say both goodbye and hand on the torch to the next generation.
Ever since the very first release in 1998, Tijs Verwest along with others has been involved in the project. But as his artist career has evolved talking him in a new exciting direction, he wanted to thank all those who had supported the Allure project, and step aside and allow a new generation to emerge. The guy on the podium is the one to watch from now on. Stepping out of the dark, from behind the curtain into the bright laser lights, he is ready to conquer the world and allure all of you into his world of angelic sounds, mesmerizing melodies and captivating beats. You will see and hear more of him soon. Very soon. Sealed with a kiss from the past and the future at his feet: trance family, please welcome Allure!
Dimitri Kechagias review: Magik Muzik presents to the world the next chapter of the well known project Allure that started as side project of Dj Tiesto but now it continues with another great artist on board. 3rd single taken from the critically aclaimed Kiss From The Past is the awesome instrumental trancer I Am. If you feel that vocal trance is not your thing I am is going to service your needs well. Powerful melodic tech trancer that have that atmosphere from the past and the tracks that we all love from Allure. It's very techy driving trancer on the progressive tip that will do the damage surely particularly in the ultra large breakdown that the unforgettable theme is unleashed graciously ready to rock the global trancefloors. It starts all bouncy full of groove and energy and very soon the melodic layers and the basslines are coming in to start building what is going to become one of the big anthems of 2012. Wait for the atmospheric breakdown to come in and that very Allure style melody to kick in and along with all the big synths to create that atmosphere that can put stadiums and hundreds of fans into motion. When the kick drum returns you know that nobody will remain untouched and the crowd will be high in the sky feeling the joy that only trance music can give to its listener. The original extended that is already firm favourite from the album is receiving the remix treatment of the hottest names at the moment in the trance scene who can add to the track that very now feel. Sied van Riel who is on great shape delivers a smashing version that is ready made to get thumps up from the tech trance/prog trance and I can even imagine some progressive house djs dropping it with immediate effects that will be difficult to be measured. Gigantic remix that is playful groovy and keep you clapping and dancing all through it. Second top remixer involved in the project is the fantastic Bart Claessen. The top Dutch dj who mixes with eclecticism wide variety of sounds and genres takes on his hands I Am and recreates it on that very special and edgy sound that only Bart can deliver in a remix. He applies the first short breakdown that the huge synthy melody is revealed but the big surprise waits when when the beat comes back. The track continues in true BIG ROOM tech trance fashion with dirty basslines and some epic prog house touches as well. If the first breakdown was too large to handle wait for the second when everything will sound even more epic and will blow totally out of your head. The climax in the main part is pretty similar like on the previous part keeping the blood pumpin and Magik Musik rush taking over control. That's what I call Tech Trance with an edge. Love It!
