York makes their debut on the Songbird label with the title “Reachers Of Civilization”.
Initially only available as part of the second “Beach Session” disc of Pedro Del Mar’s brand new “Mellomania 21” mix compilation, “Reachers Of Civilization” by York now finally sees the light of day as a well deserved single release. For the followers of Pedro’s Mellomania series it won’t be a surprise that with York’s “Reachers Of Civilization” we can enjoy some high quality, melodic and emotionally touching trance with a firm wink to the classic sound of trance from back in the days with a state of the art twist to it. The original version takes us all on a journey to the deeper live sets that we probably all experienced during our sunny and warm summer vacations of 2011.
Of course the Pedro Del Mar Remix is the version that we already knew from his mix compilation, but now we can finally enjoy it in its full and unmixed splendour. Notice Pedro’s brand new additional arrangement and the ever so smooth guitar playing and it won’t be long before you dream away to the island of Ibiza, dancing on the beach. York’s “Reachers Of Civilization” spells hit single!
Dimitri Kechagias review: One of the best balearic trance anthems ever is of course the superb Reachers of Civilization by York. We all know, love and support through the years the German trance genius Torsten Stenzel and his wonderful project, along with his brother, that is highly influenced from Ibiza that is Torsten's current home base. The spoken vocal sample used in the intro of the track is brilliant as it is so deep, meaningfull and get you start thinking about human species, who we really are and where we are heading too. The original is well known and you maybe remember it because of the unforgetable balearic guitar riff that is hard to forget even many years after hearing it for first time. I'm so glad that a trusted dj and producer takes the assignment to update the lovely classic and he is of course the Mellowmania man, Pedro del Mar who loves and knows balearic trance. His remix is absolutely gorgeous and is perfect to warm us up particularly now that the snow is falling thick and fast while I'm writting this review. Superb tight balearic tribal trance beats and the finest application of that dreamy soothing classy guitar riff too. Excellent remix that opens in the best possible way the fantastic new Mellowmania CD that is out now. Love IT!
