REVIEW: Orjan Nilsen - Lucky Strike & Legions out on Armind/Armada Music

1.Lucky Strike (Original Mix)
2.Legions (Original Mix)

Ørjan Nilsen is unstoppable. Locking himself into his studio brings up one shiny, musical jewel after the next. The Norwegian producer has big stuff ahead for 2012. Can it get any bigger than ‘Lucky Strike’ and ‘Legions’?

In 2011, EDM land was introduced to his debut album ‘In My Opinion’, trembling the world with its 18 masterpieces. But Ørjan was craving more, with diversity as his motive. ‘Viking’ and ‘Atchoo!’, as well as stunning remixes for the likes of John O’Callaghan, M.I.K.E., Armin van Buuren, became the objects of affection for thousands of music lovers. And more they will get.
Both ‘Lucky Strike’ and ‘Legions’ are the type of tune that can move the mass, bring a night to its boiling point and give any party its highlight moment. ‘Lucky Strike’ is playful, cheeky and energetic. ‘Legions’ is the more serious of the two, with a touching vocals and dramatic melody line. Power and impact, that’s what Ørjan’s tunes are all about.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Orjan Nilsen is for sure the biggest success story in the trance scene of the last year. 2011 was his best year so far with the album In My Opinion that fans loved it and as a result of it many others discovered him and they loved him too as well. Of course he manage to get inside the Top 100 djs list of the prestigious dj mag and get the chance to perform in various countries and spread his sound that is perfect in tune with the current climate in the trance scene. With progressive house, progressive trance, electro and tech trance influences in place Orjan manage something that is very hard to do. He established his own very unique sound that fans can easily identify with him. His brand new EP contains two really huge trance anthems perfect to start 2012 in the best possible way. Lucky Strike is a powerful playful electro prog trancer with bubbly beats, wobbly parts and exciting melodies to throw your hands up in the air, jump up a little and let yourself go totally without any prohibitions. Particularly the breakdown with the big room synthy riffs and the live crowd sound sample will do big damage. Legions on the other side is a fast, furius prog trancer that is straight forward, very driving and unstopable with a huge breakdown that will remind you Hollywood Blockbusters for sure. The female opera style vocal will transfer you instantly in another century until the huge main melodic theme appears to send everybody to heavens. TWO Very huge trancers that will rise at the top of the download charts for sure. Love IT!
