Australian singer Emma Hewitt has announced the release of her debut album, ‘Burn The Sky Down’. After working together with the likes of Dash Berlin, Cosmic Gate and Gareth Emery, the award-winning singer/songwriter will reveal her solo album in April 2012. ‘Colours’, the first single of the album, has just been released and covers both ambient, pop and electronic music. The ‘Colours’ E.P. includes remixes by Armin van Buuren and Jerome Isma-Ae and comes with a beautiful official music video by acclaimed director Elliot Sellers.
Dance lovers afraid to miss out on the beat, have no reason to worry. Emma:”Every song will have an ambient, or slightly pop version as well as various dance remixes. We worked with producer Lee Groves on the album, he has worked with artists such as Marilyn Manson, Gwen Stefani and Depeche Mode, so he was great at creating the kind of dark pop/ambient soundscapes we were looking for.”
‘Burn The Sky Down’ is set for release on April 13th 2012 on Armada Music.
‘Colours’ is now available on iTunes or on vinyl via www.armadashop.com.

Having worked with EDM’s producer elite and winning the ‘Best Hi-NRG/Euro Track’ award at the International Dance Music Awards of 2010 with Dash Berlin collaboration ‘Waiting’, has made Emma Hewitt one of the fastest rising names in dance land. Her characteristic and versatile voice became a favourite both in and outside the EDM scene. Outstanding live performances and acoustic sessions have made her a crowd’s favourite. In 2012, Emma Hewitt is ready to be more than ‘just a featuring’. Her album ‘Burn The Sky Down’ reveals a side of the Australian vocalist that most of her audience haven’t heard yet. Emma:”It is a very exciting time in music that is allowing people from all genres and backgrounds to branch out into different styles and areas that perhaps they wouldn’t have been able to do before. A lot of the styles are fusing together and listeners are more willing to accept change from producers and singers now. Especially in EDM, and I think it is fantastic, I hope things keep heading down this road!”

Dimitri Kechagias review: It's so hopeful for the EDM scene that many featured vocalists get the chance to release a whole album and get the wide recognition they really deserve. What can you say of course for the fantastic Emma Hewitt. Her voice is outstanding and whenever you see her name as featured vocalist you pay close attention and you check her out. The distinctive, pure, clear and full of emotion voice gets the chance through Armada Music to showcase her brilliant talent in an album that is shaped to become one of the best for 2012. First single is the magical Colours. Deep and meaningful lyrics that performed in the most truthful and heart touching way by Emma who is about to get extensive airplay in the pop daytime radio shows too. The atmospheric calming, soothing but very epic ambient album version is pure magic. Emma sounds so special along with her guitar of course that adds that live element to perfectly highlight her top voice. This great version is supported by Armin van Buuren and Jerome Isma-Ae. First of all the most influential trance star on this planet transforms the original into a big room uplifting trance anthem with enough drive to raise some club roofs and move big festivals all around the globe. The breakdown is on the high quality that you expect from Armin who does his best to impress us all with cinematic atmosphere that will open our souls and when that top notch progressive trance beat is back will be taken on board for an unforgetable hands in the air ride. Big room trance hooks are introduced too to blow your mind completely. Jerome Isma-Ae from his side is another top producer who takes the track in his well known progressive house territory. Great use of the vocal in a version that serves the deep spiritual meaning of the song well and stays low profile without exagerrating. Two gold versions that djs will play again and again. Top way to start the new year for sure. Dub mixes included for the instrumental lovers too. Love IT!
