Another very hot, full of surprises and overall an extremely intresting year in Electronic Dance music has passed and as you can expect many charts are released to document the winners and the loosers too of the year. For the German EDM scene, the most important Dance Chart, that everybody who works in the music industry check every week and study as a bible is of course the weekly Deutch Dance Chart well known as DDC. For 2011 the results were announced this week and the winners opened their bottle of champagne. In the category Top Single Act National at the top spot is the hot duo Plastik Funk who are part of the Tiger records family in Cologne with DBN in 2nd place and Niels Van Gogh in the 3rd place. Rafael Ximenez born in Madrid and Mikio from Tokyo are the DJ Team PLASTIK FUNK.
Together the two DJs, who are now living in Duesseldorf, Germany, form an important part of worldwide nightlife. Gigs in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Miami, Hawaii, Zurich, Ibiza, Mallorca, Barcelona, Prague, Vienna, Tokyo that are some of the places which they have already enchanted with their sound.
All major events in Germany (Mayday, Sensation White, Loveparade...) have seen their performance already. But touring abroad and bringing their sound to all the continents of the world is their mission since 2002.
In the summerseason, they are residents of the legendary Space Ibiza party „Cafe Ole“ and „Republik at Space“ playing at the most desired place to work: the Space Terrace.
2011 has seen very successful artist singles already, with their remake of „C&C Musicfatory – Everybody Dance Now“ entering the german sales charts Top50 and will go further with more singles coming on their Label home Tiger Records .

What is more at the Label Charts category of the annual DDC charts that is evaluated after the sum of attained points for all the tracks which made it into the annual charts in Germany and which are released under the same label-brand in Germany, at the 2nd place for three years in a row is Tiger records in Cologne.
