REVIEW: W&W & Mark Sixma - Twist out on Captivating Sounds/Armada Music

1.Twist (Extended Mix)
2.Twist (Rick Mitchells & Bas van Essen Remix)
3.Twist (Heatbeat Remix)

W&W and Mark Sixma go back a long way. Both Willem and Ward, as well as Mark, got into the whirlwind of EDM around the same time. Willem and Mark hooked up in the studio quite frequently, resulting in tracks like ‘Terminal 69’, ‘Origin’ and ‘Genesis’.  Throughout the course of the years, the guys have always kept their musical synergy. So with the debut album of W&W on the way, it was a more than logical step for Willem and Wardt to invite Mark on the exciting first checkpoint of their musical journey, ‘Impact’. And while they’re at it, they enjoy the beats of new single ‘Twist’.

Taken from the ‘Impact’ album, this hot after-summer bang of a track has a way of reaching you on the inside, right where you need it. The solid warm-up of ‘Twist’ prepares you for all feel-good violence to come. Its lively synths will energize you, bursting with essential tech-trance flavours.
Twist is the best thing to haunt the festival and club speakers for the next months to come.

And that’s not even all, cause the remix touch of Rick Mitchells & Bas van Essen and Heatbeat await you. W&W:”We’ve got a great package with two remixes; a massive electro remix done by Rick Mitchells and Bas van Essen, and an up-tempo remix by the guys from Heatbeat. The original was already voted Future Favorite in Armin’s ASOT radio show, so it’s set to be a good release!”

Dimitri Kechagias review: Impact by W & W is one of the most exciting new dance albums released in 2011 because of its fresh approach and the very unique style that W & W established all those years. Its a joy to watch them performing  behind the decks and its even bigger pleasure to play their music in your set. Their brand new single is a co-production with another really excellent Dutch wonderboy Mark Sixma. Twist sounds yummy and delicious as your favorite cookies with twisted shape. Fat stompin driving demanding beats that lead us on the breakdown that the huge synthy stabs wait too explode on the dancefloor like  lava that comes out from volcano. The track is naughty and full of twists and turns to take your audience to its limit until to shout it out loud. The original gets the remix treatment that this single needed. Rick Mitchells & Bas van Essen Remix is cheeky, squeezed and turned  as you can guess with male spoken vocal saying Twist and more electro house meets trance style sounds that will make this version perfect for djs who play Sander van Doorn style tracks. Last but not least the Argentinean duo Heatbeat provide the full on uplifting version perfect for those peak time section of your set that needs extra boost of real energy. Ready made for clubs and festivals its another W & W anthem. Lets get Twisted then...
