Despite a relatively quiet 2011 in comparison to other years, any production by the Polish brothers Julian and Mateusz Dziewulski under their Skytech pseudonym makes many an electronic music listener stand up and observe.
Following the Prague ’11 featured Sirens, which dominated the first half of the year; Skytech ramped their way into the summer in aggressive fashion, with the uncompromising tech-fuelled and aptly named Intensity landing its way onto Markus Schulz’s Be at Space Ibiza summer compilation project. A track which blasted its way through the Ibiza Summer Sessions season, it is perfect fuel to send a dancefloor into orbit, with a well polished set of pads acting as the peak.
The b-side Motion carries similar traits to its senior companion; however it is built with a more traditionally melodic Skytech approach. Already debuted by Markus on the Global DJ Broadcast in October, it’s sure to be a momentum builder into the winter months, and will soon join the growing list of Coldharbour anthems yielded by this talented outfit.
Two tracks with plenty of appeal, with Intensity perfect for liveset action, and Motion providing a great peaktime moment for radio. Coldharbour’s primary Polish export delivers again.
Dimitri Kechagias review:Skytech are back for good of course and ready to provide another stunning EP to put our dark and sweaty nights in constant motion. Intensity is a power charger non stop that builds constantly keeping you breathless dancing on the floor. It has the tech rough sharp edges that you are expecting to get from a real underground anthem. With wobbly and really bubbly beats this track is another stunning moment in Skytech impressive back catalogue of ear catching releases. The sound effects used and those swirling sounds will dominate the club and will bring the total mayhem. If you like the taste of your trance a bit techy and salty this version is ready made for you. Motion is a real crowd pleaser and my favorite as well as it is all about being right at the forefront throwing your hands in the air and dancing wih a party bulldozer that is fat, furius with amazing big synthy riff in the breakdown and full on big room peak time main part that is so well produced with variety of sound effects added in order to create a sound experience that is second to none. If you like the taste of your trance sweet but with bitter end this track is for you. Skytech rock the place and that is official.
