Jess-E presents his second single on the Wildlife imprint, entitled “Never Enough”.
Most, if not all, of today’s great producers have of course been influenced by the sounds of electronic dance music from the past decades. Sometimes it can even be the reason for new talent to start producing their own material. Throughout his career, Jess-E went through various styles, but it’s most certainly that good old smooth house sound from kings like, for instance, Mr Fingers that put a big stamp on his own output. “Never Enough” is a perfect example of the above. A steady pumping bass drum, subtle percussion, a deep, almost live sounding bassline, warm synths, hot female vocals and even a bit of funky guitar. This is the true club sound that simply forces you to order your fifth large tequila sunrise and run for the dance floor or the beach, ‘cause “Never Enough” is the perfect track for a late afternoon/sunset club set. The intro with the rolling waves and squeaking seagulls says it all.
For the packed nighttime sessions in the clubs, Jess-E returned to the original and reworked “Never Enough” into a slightly rougher version. Less percussion with the snares, a newly recorded and urging bassline, more guitar and filtered synths; it’s all there. With “Never Enough”, Jess-E hands all club jocks another smash hit!
Never Enough RMX ( Out soon on Wildlife ) 192k by Jess-E
Dimitri Kechagias review: There is so much contrasting releases on Wildlife that makes this label really vibrant and intresting to follow. Jess-E returns wild as ever with a very cool atmospheric jazzy colorful club track that deep house djs will adore. All the classic elements are there with nice funky basslines, piano and organ melodies and the classic vocal sample with the diva shouting Never Enough. The Club mix adds a techier bassline and bouncy beats to make this track perfect for the peak time house sets. Additional sounds are added to give that extra drive with some good old school house samples too. Can you get more Wildlife than this? I dont think so!
