Wetdog presents his new single on the Black Hole imprint, entitled “Release The Dog”.
“Release The Dog” is not just the introduction of the artist Wetdog. It is also a superb, multi functional single that will fit perfectly in both trance- and techno aimed live sets. Straight forward four to the floor drum programming and a minimal amount of percussion give way to tense and driving, side chained, synth chords that at a certain point seem to run completely off beat. It’s exactly that surprising bit of production that gives “Release The Dog” its strength. Maybe we’re even witnessing the development of a brand new style of electronic dance music here, so let’s pay close attention to Wetdog’s future releases.
One thing is for sure: there will be a few big names in the industry that will most definitely be able to add “Release The Dog” to their live sets. Hit single in the making!
Dimitri Kechagias review: Its intresting when you test your ears for first time to a brand new artist. Wetdog as it seems are here to stay and their first release sounds like a big club anthem. Its not easy to define it or to say exactly what this track is all about. It sounds like a big bulldog that you keep in your hands but is actually so large and wild that you can stop it and looks more that the dog takes you for a walk and not the oher way round. Atmospheric breakdown with electro and bit of dubstep influences and big bouncy electro trance beat to get those hands and dogs in the air. Fresh, exciting, new and simple effective straight forward clubfloor material.
