Port 6 - Daniel Portman's 6th episode from his successful port series. After a touring break of one year the godfather of dark progressive house returns with three brand new tracks.
'Tremulator' is the opener of the EP, a dark vibed house track with dirty percussion elements and the typical rolling Portman groove. 'Demask' offers warm tribal elements combined with a huge euphoric breakdown. It is also the name of Daniel's upcoming new radio show. Last but not least 'Play My Cunt': This track closes Port 6. A rolling arpeggio melo leads through this song, ending up in an uplifting breakdown section and find it's way back in a huge drop.
Just what you expect from a new Daniel Portman EP..
Dimitri Kechagias review: Unreleased Digital supplies the international club floors with absolutely essential releases. If the previous year everybody was talking about the Swedish house scene better open their ears wide to listen the incoming invasion of the Swiss House invasion. It happens slowly from commercial projects to more underground sounds and Unreleased Digital is exactly an example of this growing trend. The label headed by the bright and talented Chris Reece brings to the masses another big party stomping EP by the always on top shape Daniel Portman. If you get tired quickly on the dancefloor maybe these top tunez are not for you. Tremulator is big and driving tech house smasher with wonky spanky sounds that lead on a large breakdown with synthy riff that recalls classics like Are Am Eye by Commander Tom. The whole production is thick and tight that you get on it in just seconds. Demask is a highly emotional prog houser with melodic edge but with all the deepness that you can expect on a massive Daniel Portman production. Hi-nrg basslines and immense drive is the order of the day. Play my cunt is equally energetic with sexier groovier atmosphere human breathe samples and wonderful breakdown with strong melodic riff coupled with melodramatic strings. Definitely on this EP this track is the more melodic and spacey as well. Three excellent weapons for the Swiss House Invasion.
