REVIEW: Grace - Not Over Yet out on Perfecto/Armada incl. Loverush UK remix

Loverush UK! get to grips with the all time Oakenfold & Osborne GRACE project legendary dancefloor smash "Not Over Yet". Staying true to the Original but adding enough juice for today's dancefloors.

As far classic releases from the Perfecto Records back catalogue go there are few more generation defining than Grace “Not Over Yet”. Originally reaching number 6 in the UK top 40 charts “Not Over Yet” was a major cross over record who’s legacy continues today through the countless compilation albums who have hosted it and the long list of unofficial remixes that have continued to breathe new life into it. A huge Sasha and Digweed classic (as featured on their legendary 1994 Renaissance compilation album) this infectious record from Paul Oakenfold was a firm favourite for a variety of A list djs, from an even wider variety of genre backgrounds, from across the globe.

With Perfecto Records beginning the process of re-releasing a carefully picked selection of highlight tracks from the label’s back catalogue – what better way to begin than with “Not Over Yet”.

Dimitri Kechagias review: The legendary Perfecto Records is back with another exceptional release this time going back to its backcatalogue and re-releasing with brand new mixes the seminal and highly influential big euro trance anthem Not Over Yet by Grace. I catch myself before some weeks watching on repeat mode the original music video of the track on YouTube and I was deeply wishing now that Perfecto is back for good to re-release this magical record and as it seems my wishes reached the ears of Paul Oakenfold and the amazing classic is here once again to dominate the global dance charts and the most important holiday resorts. The first part of the remixes included the massive Max Graham vs Protoculture mix that gives you goosebumps straight away with a bubbly driving balearic trance style that is using not the whole vocal and adding again that ethereal magical beauty to it. Jonas Hornbland is on board as well to deliver a full big tech prog trancer that adds to the track that peak time fluorescent feel. The new remix package has landed in my email box with the most happening duo in EDM the excellent Loverush UK adding their point of view as well. Their remix I must say is much closer to the original but with the addition of the current prog trance meets house beat. The vocal has an electro house edge as well and make this a really great version to dance but to enjoy on the radio stations too. In my opinion their radio edit is the most appropriate for daytime radios. For the dj sets their vocal mix is so good that you will want to drop it to your punters on repeat mode. Definitely a great choice to remix the single and add that more crossover sound to it. Lets sing a long now: Not Over Not Over YET! Dedicated to all those who try to keep alive their relationship against all odds. Love it and looking forward to see it coming back again in the official UK Top 40!
