Alex O’Rion presents his new single “Craters Of The Moon” on the Black Hole Recordings imprint.
The recent release of Alex O’Rion’s artist album “The Bigger Room” harvested an enormous amount of positive response from all four corners of the globe and soon discussions started on what the best new single taken from the album would be. “Craters Of The Moon” finally saw the light of day. Prepare yourself for a highly melodic and extremely uplifting trancer with clear references to the synthesizer heroes from back in the days. It’s just one of those trademark Alex O’Rion productions that will work perfectly in a multiple hour live set. The progressive style build up of the track subtly piles up layers of crips synth and string programming until the melody sets in. From that moment on, the dance floor will be packed to the brim.
The remixes bring a wide variety of styles. Alex himself returned to his own original to rework it into a techy, almost Kraftwerk style version. Brother Richard Durand takes things up a notch and delivers a truly banging tech trancer. The Craving Remix is a bit faster in BPM and will work perfectly in the big rooms and last but not least we have Thomas Coastline, who brings a superb trance version with a hint of old skool in it. “Craters Of The Moon” is ready to rock!
Dimitri Kechagias review: Alex is one of the most promising Dutch artist and DJ that I'm expecting to check him live at the main Open Air Stage at Germany's finest still underground summer festival Nature One. His new release is perfectly timed to be out and about during the summer as it is a high quality Big Room naughty Trancer with T capital. Great melody that brings in your mind instantly the great classic synthesizer based music by artists such as Vangelis and cool playful and innovative arrangement are the main elements that makes you pay close attention and listen. The remix package in my opinion is the finest you can get for the track with Richard Durand going totally out of his head for a bouncing and banging tech trance sharp beats in one of his finest outings. Russia's most promising artists Craving going in their more traveling soothing balearic prog trance style that r becomes really large in the breakdown and has a massive pay off moment in the main part. I'm glad that Thomas Coastline does a remix cause this guy is a large Talent and I really enjoyed his Eliminate release that is out now on Terminal 4 imprint. He transforms the track into a big winner that has all the right elements for peak time abuse and use. Top stuff and great choice to release as a single from Alex's latest album that be sure to check out.
