⌨️ Frankyeffe - Out Of This World EP out on Magik Muzik/ Black Hole Recordings
Frankyeffe’s calling it an “EP”, though others might argue it’s closer to a full album. Either way, ‘Out Of This World’ makes one thing abundantly clear: when it comes to midnight studio oil and full-throated clubland firepower, Italy’s Francesco Fava’s not a man to do things by halves.
Fresh from his 'One More Night' outing with Sarah de Warren (featured here in its new ‘Out Of This World’ remix), Frankyeffe’s drops eight new forms, set to test speaker stacks and bassbins the clubbing world over.
There’s no better place for the ‘Out Of This World EP’ to begin than with its title track, whose deep-space bleeps, heavenly-angled choirs, zooming FX and blistering post-break kickdrum bring-back make an immediate statement. ‘Love is a Shadow’ follows, and with it comes one of those instant flame-on female vocals that’ll touch off dancefloors and watch them burn!
Stage 3 sees Torsten ‘York’ Stenzel join the fray, as he and the Riot Recordings boss ask: ‘Where Is All the Energy’ (a question you’ll be able to answer, long before the track’s run its course!). Back in solo mode, Francesco ups the storm with red-lining bass, breakneck snares, clubfloor-urgent sub-melodies and a squalling monster of a mainline!
As the EP crosses its halfway mark, Frankyeffe and Sarah de Warren’s ‘One More Night’ gets a lick of that ‘Out Of This World’ paint, re-framing it as a fast-and-furious, night-peaking, scene-stealing rework. Meanwhile, both in terms of its vocal and production, ‘I Can Fly’ makes the case for the uplifting … and leaves no anthemic studio-stone unturned in achieving it.
Alongside the Czech Republic’s ReOrder, ‘Fatal Signal’ takes aim at harder-faster floors and finds them at pace, with a furious tech-trance workout, complete with mainline feistiness, drum-thump and 303-laced FX. Rounding out ‘O.O.T.W.’, Francesco’s more elevating synths rise again on ‘I Want You’ - a harmonic coda, who’s sky-raking finale lets melody claim the ‘EP’s last word.

SUMMARY REVIEW
Frankyeffe’s “Out Of This World” EP on Magik Muzik/Black Hole Recordings is a masterclass in meticulous production and a celebration of the Italian producer’s uncompromising approach to club energy. From the opening moments, the title track sets the tone with a constellation of melodic hooks and harmonics that feel both lush and deliberate. The deep-space bleeps and soaring choirs are carefully layered to create a sense of vastness, while the post-break kickdrum and bassline drive the energy straight into the heart of the dancefloor. Each melodic line resonates with clarity and purpose, ensuring an immediate connection to the ear and the crowd alike.
The sonic engineering and overall production quality are nothing short of pristine. Every element occupies its own space in a meticulously carved frequency spectrum, demonstrating Frankyeffe’s refined mixdown and mastering balance. The thundering low-end is powerful yet controlled, leaving room for the midrange synths to sing and the high-end effects to shimmer without fatigue. Tracks like “Love is a Shadow” showcase his expert use of effects and spatial design, with reverbs, delays, and swooping transitions creating an immersive three-dimensional environment that feels tailor-made for cavernous clubs and festival stages.
Throughout the EP, the arrangement and build dynamics are handled with surgical precision. Frankyeffe knows exactly when to pull the energy back and when to unleash it. “Where Is All the Energy,” his collaboration with York, is a prime example of this mastery, with breakneck snares giving way to tension-building breakdowns before a tidal wave of rhythm erupts. The creativity and artistic identity shine through every progression, with a clear sense of narrative in the way each track evolves, demonstrating not only technical skill but also a deep understanding of emotional resonance and impact.
Vocals are given particular care, with Sarah de Warren’s performance on “One More Night” and the reimagined “Out Of This World” remix serving as emotional anchors amid the storm of electronic intensity. The processing enhances her voice without sacrificing natural warmth, allowing it to cut through dense, high-energy arrangements. This attention to vocal performance and lyrical impact enhances the EP’s dancefloor utility, making each track as memorable on streaming platforms as it is in a late-night festival set.
From a DJ and listener perspective, the EP excels in practical execution. Intros and outros are crafted with mixability in mind, ensuring seamless cue points and looping potential for live sets. The energy flow across the EP maintains a perfect momentum, moving from euphoric peaks to driving tech-trance workouts like “Fatal Signal,” which bristles with squalling 303s and drum-thumping intensity. It’s clear that every track was engineered for maximum crowd reaction potential, with hooks that lodge themselves in memory and a catchiness that lends itself to replay across all platforms.
In today’s streaming and social media environment, “Out Of This World” is particularly well-suited for algorithmic discovery, TikTok and Reels edits, and playlist versatility. Its Shazamability and instant hook recognition make it a likely candidate for both underground and mainstream traction. By balancing emotional storytelling with technical prowess, Frankyeffe has crafted a body of work that feels timeless yet modern, engineered for every corner of the electronic music landscape.
With a flawless 10 across all performance criteria, this EP is pure gold—a high-water mark for melodic tech-trance that is as immersive in headphones as it is explosive on the largest club systems.
