ARMIN VAN BUUREN RELEASES 'A STATE OF TRANCE 2026’ ALBUM FEATURING THREE NEW MIX THEMES

On Friday 8th of May, Armin van Buuren releases ‘A State of Trance 2026 (Mixed by Armin van Buuren)’, the twenty-third instalment of his mix album series. The album arrives as a triple-mix, 43-track collection spread across three distinct themes - Pulse, Frequency, and Energy - capturing the definitive sound of trance in 2026, while also celebrating 25 years of A State of Trance.

“Reaching 25 years of A State of Trance is something I could have only dreamed of when I started the show,” says Armin van Buuren. “This album reflects where trance is today and where it’s heading. I’m proud to release another album this year whilst celebrating the brand’s 25-year anniversary and the music that makes all this possible.”

Arriving a day ahead of the full album, Armin van Buuren and Andrew Bayer released their new collaboration ‘Serendipity’ on Thursday. Blending both artists’ signature styles into a warm, uplifting production, ‘Serendipity’ sets the tone for the album.

The album also features the long-awaited Rising Star Remix of ‘Sun Shines on Me’ by Armin van Buuren and Glockenbach. Having been a staple of Armin’s live sets for the past year, the track has built significant anticipation on the dancefloor - and now finally gets its official release as part of the A State of Trance 2026 package.

Three Mixes. Three New Names.

For the first time since 2006, the album series move away from the long-standing On the Beach, In the Club and Who's afraid of 138?! format, with the three mixes taking on brand-new identities:

Mix 1: Pulse - spotlights new Armin van Buuren collaborations alongside Argy, Andrew Bayer, and Skytech, with standout contributions from Joris Voorn, Max Styler, OTTAGON, and more, plus the BLR remix of ‘Tuvan ’ by GAIA.

Mix 2: Frequency - brings peak-time club energy with tracks from Amy Wiles, Farius, SUPERSTRINGS, and the official 2026 A State of Trance anthem ‘Always You’.

Mix 3: Energy - shifts into higher-intensity, driving trance with KI/KI, Lilly Palmer, The Rocketman, and rising names including S3PPA, DEVERAUX, LAWTON, and Deckers.

As A State of Trance marks its 25th year, the 2026 edition of this album reflects both the legacy and the forward momentum of one of dance music's most iconic brands, with Armin van Buuren leading the way as both curator and artist.
