Nordfold kicks off 2026 with ‘Forever / Together’ on Anjunadeep.
First debuting on the label in April 2020 with double A-side ‘Venus / Trondheim’, Nordfold has been a consistent label staple this decade with six other solo releases and numerous compilation appearances to his name. The talent behind fan favourite ‘Letter To Lillehammer’, Nordfold released his highly anticipated ‘Pathways EP’ in 2024 alongside a remix of Martin Roth’s ‘Ultraviolet’, going on to release the acclaimed ‘Praise The Sun EP’ towards the end of 2025.
Momentum continues to grow behind the Dutch DJ and producer who recently played a six-date South Asia tour last summer that took him to India and Bangladesh, alongside making appearances at a string of the label’s key events. Fresh off the back of sets at Anjunadeep Open Air The Hague, Anjunadeep Amsterdam for ADE, Anjunadeep London at The Cause, and the label’s flagship events in Albania and Malta, Nordfold returns to the sunny shores of Dhërmi for Anjunadeep Explorations 2026 this summer.
Nordfold’s ‘Forever / Together’ is out now on Anjunadeep.

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Nordfold’s double release, Forever / Together, is an extraordinary showcase of melodic progressive house at its most refined, balancing musicality, production finesse, and emotional impact. At 126 BPM, Forever unfolds as a driving, cinematic house anthem with a pulsating rhythm that instantly locks in the listener’s attention. The drum programming demonstrates perfect synergy between kick and bass, creating an unshakable groove that propels the track forward and allows DJs to maintain energy flow and momentum in both club and festival settings. The track’s transitions and drop structures are smooth yet powerful, with carefully engineered filter sweeps, reverb tails, and subtle white noise risers, ensuring that each build-up feels organic and every peak lands with satisfying impact. Its BPM consistency and phase alignment make it highly reliable for cueing and looping, enhancing its potential in live mixes and extended DJ sets. Together, at 125 BPM, pays tribute to the nostalgic, early Anjunadeep ethos, blending warm harmonic layers and swirling melodic hooks that captivate the mind and heart. Its production highlights Nordfold’s mastery of spatial design: stereo imaging is meticulously crafted to place pads and arpeggios in a wide, immersive field, while the central rhythmic elements remain tight and punchy. The dynamic range is particularly notable, with restrained yet well-defined loudness that allows the emotional resonance of each section to breathe. The careful use of effects such as modulated delays, subtle granular textures, and reverb automation enhances the atmospheric quality, lending the track a sense of storytelling and cohesion that makes each listen a journey. From a wellness and mental health perspective, the positive effects of tracks like Forever and Together are supported by scientific research. Studies have demonstrated that rhythmic, repetitive music at moderate tempos can entrain the brain’s natural oscillations, promoting focus and reducing stress (Thaut et al., 2015). Additionally, melodic progressive house with uplifting harmonics has been shown to stimulate endorphin release and enhance mood (Salimpoor et al., 2011). Fitness and wellness classes frequently leverage such music for its ability to synchronize bodily movements with steady rhythmic cues, improving exercise efficiency and perceived effort (Karageorghis & Priest, 2012). The tracks’ optimistic tonalities and energy flow make them suitable not only for dance floors but also for yoga sessions, mindfulness practices, and high-energy cardio routines, fostering both mental clarity and physical engagement. In terms of club and festival suitability, both tracks excel. Their intros and outros are meticulously structured for seamless beatmatching, while the loop potential of key sections allows DJs to dynamically manipulate set pacing. The melodic storytelling and clear cue points make these tracks reliable tools for eliciting strong crowd reactions. Furthermore, Nordfold’s creativity and artistic identity shine through in the originality of the arrangements, balancing classic progressive house tropes with fresh production techniques that ensure high replay value. In conclusion, Forever / Together represents a masterclass in melodic progressive house, combining technical precision, emotional richness, and holistic human impact. Their carefully engineered sonic landscapes not only move the body but also nurture the mind, offering a profound multisensory experience that resonates far beyond the dance floor. #PureGold Loveit [/content]
