Trance Review: Green Court meets DuMonde - Follow me (JAMX & D Mand Rework 2K25) out on Drizzly Eclipse

In 1999, "Follow Me" emerged produced by Claus Terhoeven (Cosmic Gate), Erich Schmeier, and Andre Wevers. This Anthem quickly became a worldwide club hit, with iconic mixes by Timo Maas, Cosmic Gate and DJ JamX & De Leon’s DuMonde. It was released on Drizzly Music Sublabel "Club Guerilla".

Twenty-six years later, the very known producer DuMonde, JAMX, and D.Mand have reunited the legacy with a contemporary rework of their classic mix. The new version is high-energy and primed for primetime, built to ignite main stages and festival arenas.

As with the original, the melody remains infectious and instantly recognizable, delivering 100% euphoria from intro to outro. A fresh production sensibility sits alongside beloved motifs, ensuring both nostalgia and modern club dynamics.

Green Court had in the 1990s and 2000s, together with Marc Dawn and De/Vision, several successful tracks in the Media Control Charts.

About the remixer : German Hard Trance project DuMonde emerged in 1997 as a collaboration between René Dumont, Jürgen Mutschall, and Dominik de León. With a powerful blend of euphoric melodies and driving energy, the project quickly carved out a space in the international trance scene. Their early release Tomorrow (1998) became a breakthrough success, entering Germany’s Top Ten and appearing on numerous major label compilations worldwide. Further success followed with subsequent singles as See the Light (1999) and Just Feel Free (Tomorrow 2000).

In early 2001, René Dumont left the group. DuMonde continued as a duo, releasing iconic trance tracks as Never Look Back, Memory, God Music, Human, and Ich will raus / Let me out —timeless anthems still heard in clubs today.

Their remixes for Binary Finary, Alice Deejay, Push, and Barthezz showcased their distinct sound and secured their place in the golden era of trance. Mutschall (aka JAMX) and de León (aka De Leon) became key figures in shaping the early 2000s German trance scene.

After disbanding in 2007 to pursue solo careers, DuMonde made a surprise comeback in 2024 with Sometimes. Now led by founding member Jürgen Mutschall and joined by producer Daniel Körber (aka D.Mand), DuMonde is once again pushing trance forward—honoring their roots while embracing the future.

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]The 2025 rework of “Follow Me,” crafted by the legendary DuMonde aka JAMX and D.Mand, is a masterclass in modern trance production. At 143 BPM, the track immediately propels listeners into a state of high-energy euphoria, perfectly aligning with the ethos of festival-ready, mainstage anthems. The rework intelligently condenses its arrangement compared to the original, delivering a more compact punch designed for instant impact in both live sets and digital playlists. From a technical production perspective, the track demonstrates exceptional rhythm, groove, and drive. Layered percussive elements and a tight kick-bass relationship create a propulsive low-end foundation, ensuring seamless energy flow across transitions, drops, and build-ups. Harmonic layering is meticulously executed, with arpeggiated synths and shimmering pads that maintain melodic hooks while providing a rich stereo field. The sound design stands out with modern trance textures—crystalline leads, warm midrange plucks, and atmospheric sweeps—crafted to produce both emotional depth and club-ready impact. The arrangement and structure are highly cohesive, dynamically balancing tension and release. Shorter segments and strategic cue points allow DJs to integrate the track effortlessly into live sets, while carefully-engineered transitions maximize crowd reaction potential. The use of effects and spatial processing—such as stereo delays, reverb swells, and automated filter sweeps—immerses the listener in a multidimensional soundscape, enhancing both atmosphere and emotional resonance. Beyond its club and festival suitability, this rework has notable applications in fitness and wellness contexts. High-BPM electronic music has been shown to elevate heart rate and endurance, supporting performance in cardio workouts, spin sessions, and high-intensity interval training (HIIT). Research by Karageorghis & Priest (2012) highlights how rhythmic, high-tempo music can increase motivation and reduce perceptions of effort during exercise. Furthermore, the euphoric melodic structure of trance music has been associated with positive effects on mental health, including stress reduction and mood enhancement, due to the release of dopamine and endorphins during engaging music experiences (Koelsch, 2010). Listeners may also experience an immersive flow state, where the combination of dynamic range, harmonic development, and pulsating rhythm promotes focus and emotional uplift. This makes the track a valuable addition not only to DJ sets but also to playlists for wellness classes, guided movement sessions, and mindful high-energy activities. In conclusion, “Follow Me (JAMX & D Mand Rework 2K25)” exemplifies the perfect balance between nostalgia and innovation. It manages to honor the original’s legacy while delivering a contemporary sonic experience suitable for festivals, clubs, fitness environments, and even mental wellness applications. Its technical precision, emotional impact, and physiological benefits underscore why this rework is a 10/10 across all evaluated criteria. #PureGold Love IT [/content]
