Tomorrowland News: Tragedy at Tomorrowland: Orbyz Mainstage Severely Damaged by Fire, Friday Plans Announced

In a heartbreaking development, Tomorrowland, one of the world’s most iconic electronic music festivals, has confirmed that its beloved Orbyz Mainstage was severely damaged due to a serious fire incident on Wednesday, July 16, 2025. This devastating event has left the Tomorrowland community in shock, as the Mainstage stood as a symbol of creativity, passion, and unity.

Despite the extensive damage, festival organizers have reassured fans that no injuries were reported during the incident. The safety of festival-goers and staff remains the utmost priority, with immediate actions taken to secure the affected area.

In an emotional statement, Tomorrowland organizers reflected on the loss, describing Orbyz as more than just a stage: "It was a living, breathing world. From the very first sketch on a blank page to countless hours of conceptual design, artistic collaboration, engineering, crafting, and building, every single piece of Orbyz carried part of our soul." The Orbyz Mainstage was indeed a masterpiece, resonating with fans globally.

Despite the tragedy, Tomorrowland’s indomitable spirit shines through. DreamVille, the festival’s vibrant campsite, opened as scheduled at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 17, to welcome eager visitors. Global Journey activities in Brussels and Antwerp are also proceeding as planned.

As hundreds of dedicated individuals work tirelessly to restore the festival grounds, Tomorrowland organizers have provided an important update regarding Friday’s schedule, outlining two possible scenarios:

Scenario 1:
If the Mainstage area can be secured and a new setup completed, the festival grounds will open as planned for all visitors and ticket types.

Scenario 2:
If full visitor capacity cannot be accommodated, DreamVille and the festival grounds will operate as separate areas on Friday to ensure safety. In this case:

The Gathering Stage at DreamVille will host the Mainstage artists originally scheduled for Friday, July 18.
DreamVille visitors will not have access to the main festival grounds.

The festival grounds (excluding the Mainstage) will be open to all other visitors, including Friday Day Pass holders, Global Journey Hotel Package guests, and Full Madness Pass holders.

In both scenarios, festival doors will open at 14:00 (instead of the originally planned 12:00).

Organizers expect the full festival grounds to be open to all visitors and ticket types from 12:00 onwards starting Saturday, July 19.

The Tomorrowland community remains united in the face of adversity. As the festival’s message echoes, "We hold on to the dreams it carried. To the team who gave their all."
