The lead up to the debut album from Rezident 'Feeling Fades’ continues with his euphoric single 'Hold On' featuring Von Boch and Elissa Mielke.
Berlin-based producer, live act, and DJ Rezident has been steadily carving out his place in the electronic music landscape. At just 26, his signature blend of emotive melodies and intricate production has already marked him out as a future star. Now, this bright young talent announces his debut album ‘Feeling Fades’, out May 9 on Anjunadeep.
Written over the past 18 months, ‘Feeling Fades’ showcases David’s artistic range, spanning introspective warmth to dark intensity. Featuring standout tracks like ‘Muse’ and ‘It’s All On You’, plus new collaborations with Von Boch, and LIAS, the album is a breakthrough body of work from the young producer.
"Feeling Fades” is a collection of moments - songs that came together over the past few years, each tied to a specific time in my life. For a long time, making music was something I did every day without thinking, just following whatever felt exciting in the moment. Over the years, sometimes that feeling has come and gone, and there were times when I wasn’t sure where to go next. This album is made up of the tracks that stuck with me, the ones that still felt right when I put everything together. Some remind me of places I’ve been, others of people or certain feelings that are hard to put into words. Even as things change, the music is a reminder of where I’ve been - and in a way, where I’m going next.” - Rezident
Originally born in Karlsruhe in Southern Germany, David’s parents may have studied classical music, but his artistic side didn’t start showing itself until he heard deadmau5, bought FL Studio and started making beats. The rest is history, and his releases started coming thick and fast.
In 2020, he debuted on Anjunadeep Explorations 13. His remix of Ben Böhmer's ‘Erase’, released in 2022, was the most-played track on SiriusXM Chill that year and received incredible support on BBC Radio 1. Last year, ‘Only For A Moment’ and ‘Muse’ became dancefloor highlights across the Anjunadeep label tour, from London’s Roundhouse to Red Rocks and Mexico City.
His talent has caught the attention of artists like Elderbrook, Diplo, and AlunaGeorge whilst earning praise from BBC Radio 1 tastemakers Pete Tong, Sian Eleri, and Jaguar.
In the coming months, Rezident will be performing on key stages worldwide, with shows in Berlin, Basel, Albania for Anjunadeep Explorations, and London, where he’ll play Anjunadeep’s biggest label showcase to date at Royal Naval College, Greenwich.
To mark the album’s release, Rezident debuted his live show at an intimate launch event on May 15th at The Social, London.
Rezident’s debut album ‘Feeling Fades’ is out now on Anjunadeep.

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"] Rezident's latest offering, Feeling Fades, out on Anjunadeep, is a masterclass in melodic house and deep electronic artistry. This album showcases not only Rezident's evolving sound but also his technical prowess within the studio, blending intricate sound design with emotionally resonant melodies.1. Intro The opening track sets a contemplative tone with atmospheric pads and subtle field recordings. The production features minimal percussive elements, allowing for the layered textures and evolving synths to create an immersive listening experience. 2. Miracle (feat. ALLKNIGHT) "Miracle" introduces ALLKNIGHT’s soulful vocals, perfectly complemented by crisp hi-hats and a pulsating bassline. The track employs sidechain compression effectively, giving it a rhythmic breathing effect that meshes with the vocal overlays and melodic arpeggios. 3. Our World (feat. Elmar) This track leans into deep house grooves with Elmar’s ethereal voice floating over warm synth pads. The production shines with its reverb-drenched claps and smooth low-end frequencies, creating a space that feels both expansive and intimate. 4. It’s All On You (feat. Malou) A standout, "It’s All On You" blends organic instrumentation with electronic finesse. Malou’s heartfelt vocals are layered with subtle delay effects, while the track’s structure builds dynamically with syncopated percussion and melodic stabs. 5. Only For A Moment (feat. Ekko) Here, Rezident explores downtempo vibes and lush soundscapes. Ekko’s haunting vocals are supported by granular synthesis techniques, adding a textured feel that complements the evolving chord progressions. 6. Muse (feat. Kate Morgan) "Muse" showcases a sophisticated blend of deep house and indie electronic elements. The track uses stereo imaging to create a vivid sound field, with Kate Morgan’s vocals weaving through shimmering synth leads and tight rhythmic patterns. 7. We Can Make It : An instrumental gem, "We Can Make It" focuses on hypnotic loops and intricate modulation. Rezident manipulates filter sweeps and delay tails for a mesmerizing effect, showcasing his skill in creating dynamic movement without vocal anchors. 8. Bristol : Named perhaps after the city known for its electronic roots, "Bristol" integrates breakbeat elements with melodic house. The track features chopped vocal samples, layered over a driving bassline and reverb-heavy snares that evoke a nostalgic yet fresh feel. 9. Feeling Fades (feat. LIAS): The title track encapsulates the album’s emotional core. LIAS’s vocals are drenched in reverb and subtle pitch modulation, while the production layers atmospheric pads with syncopated percussion, driving the song’s melancholic yet danceable aesthetic. 10. Moving In (feat. Elmar): Returning with Elmar, this track offers a lighter, more uplifting atmosphere. Delicate plucks and airy pads dominate, with intricate drum programming that demonstrates Rezident’s attention to percussive detail and groove. 11. Hold On (feat. Von Boch & Elissa Mielke): Closing the album on a powerful note, "Hold On" features Von Boch’s subtle production nuances alongside Rezident's signature style. Elissa Mielke’s emotive delivery is supported by a lush arrangement of layered synths, dynamic basslines, and intricate reverb treatments, leaving listeners with a resonant, lasting impression. Rezident’s Feeling Fades is a testament to meticulous production. Techniques such as sidechain compression, granular synthesis, and dynamic EQ are employed throughout the album. The mixdown balances clarity with warmth, and the mastering ensures each track retains its dynamic range while achieving a polished finish. Additionally, Rezident’s use of space and stereo imaging enhances the immersive quality of the album, making it a standout in the melodic house genre. Feeling Fades is more than just an album; it’s an auditory journey through emotive landscapes and technical brilliance. Rezident continues to push the boundaries of melodic house with sophisticated production techniques and heartfelt collaborations. #PureGold Love IT[/content]
