Progressive Review: Kasablanca - Terminal Feeling out on Anjunabeats

Hot on the heels of their massive collaboration “Remission” with Lane 8, Kasablanca kicks off summer with the sleek and driving new single, ‘Terminal Feeling.’

A perfect matching of progressive house with indie and live electronica elements, “Terminal Feeling” is simply massive. Kasablanca has been garnering acclaim with their live performances (check out a performance of their cover of The Prodigy’s “Breathe”), and “Terminal Feeling” will no doubt fill many sound systems throughout the summer festival season.

Launching into the dance music scene in 2020 with their first releases, Kasablanca quickly made a name for themselves later that July with the release of their hit collaboration with Lane 8, 'Run.' Streamed over 40M times worldwide since its release - hitting #1 on SiriusXM BPM, and heard countless times live at major festival stages around the world - Kasablanca and Lane 8 teamed up once again earlier this year with their latest collaborative release, 'Remission,' which has received rave reviews and attention worldwide.

After a massive 2022 and 2023 that saw Kasablanca touring around the world and playing some of the most well-known venues like Coachella, Printworks, Red Rocks, and The Gorge, their tour in late 2023 was cut short after revealing that frontman "Mickey" was diagnosed with cancer. Following a short hiatus from touring and music at the start of 2024, 'Remission' marked the official return of Kasablanca after the track's debut during their LIVE set at Ultra Music Festival in Miami, Chile, and Peru.

Kasablanca will tour throughout the summer in support of “Terminal Feeling” and a host of unreleased goodies coming soon on Anjunabeats. Highlights include stops at City Fox (Brooklyn), Bonnaroo, Ultra Europe, Outside Lands, Elements Festival, Fabric (London), and Melkweg (Amsterdam), to name a few. [item value="10"]Kasablanca - Terminal Feeling [/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Kasablanca impressive output continues with the haunting progressive monster Terminal Feeling. Deep chunky basslines, moody thumping kicks, punchy playful drum programming, haunting vocals and cinematic harps and strings to build the perfect sonic soundscape that will suck you easily in its microworld and will be quite impossible to get out of it. Hypnotic and anthemic at the same time with dystopian synthy stabs and dominating grooves along with the robotic like vocals in great mixture of progressive, melodic techno and indie dance infusions creating club moments that can be performed live and give you the feel of a band as well. Huge from start to finish. #PureGold Love iT [/content]
