Music News: Cesrv ignites the sounds of the favelas with ‘Dom Dom’ via Core Records

The first release of the upcoming ‘CORE VA: Brasil 23’ EP

São Paulo's own Cesrv is bringing the heat with his Baile Funk inspired single ‘Dom Dom’, released today on CORE Records and launching the eagerly awaited ‘CORE VA: Brasil 23’ EP. As a co-founder of Beatwise Recordings and a staple in the city's progressive electronic scene, Cesrv masterfully blends analog and digital elements to craft a pulsating urban beat that echoes the vibrant rhythms of Brazil's favelas. With Brazil’s unique musical spirit, ‘Dom Dom’ serves as an electric introduction to the 6-track EP, leading up to Tomorrowland Brasil on October 12-14.

Celebrating the return of Tomorrowland to Brazil, CORE Records announces ‘CORE VA: Brasil 23’: a curated 6-track EP spotlighting the dynamic electronic sounds of Brazil's most innovative producers. Each of the six tracks on this collection is a celebration of genre-mixing music, representing Brazilian artists who have graced CORE stages worldwide or resonate with the musical universe of CORE. In a commitment to support and spotlight local talent, the CORE Various Artist EP exemplifies the distinctive spirit of CORE Records that will be echoed in the lead-up to the CORE stages and festivals worldwide.

Starting September 1, a new track from the eagerly anticipated ‘CORE VA: Brasil 23’ EP collection will be unveiled each week, showcasing previously unreleased material from innovative Brazilian artists such as Cesrv, Mila Journée, Trajano, CRAZED (BR), Festa Tempestade, Diogo Strausz, and VHOOR. Experience the exhilarating creativity of Brazil's electronic music scene with ‘CORE VA: Brasil 23’, available exclusively through CORE Records on October 13. Expect a mix of Baile Funk, techno and a disco remix of a bossa nova folk group.

CORE Records introduces a new identity for its upcoming Various Artist EP. Drawing inspiration from the principles of cymatics – the study of visible sound vibrations – the label has transformed the soundwaves of each track into unique three-dimensional shapes. Each track now proudly bears its own signature shape, reflecting its distinct sonic profile. This innovative technique not only showcases the individuality of each song but also unifies them under the cohesive identity of CORE Records.

About Cesrv

Cesar Pierri, aka CESRV, is one of the leading producers in São Paulo’s progressive electronic scene. Raised in Bixiga, Sampa’s historically Italian neighborhood, CESRV first dabbled in music with various bands in the Paulistana scene. Weary of the rigors band life, he turned his focus elsewhere and, in 2006, he began exploring electronic music and production, mixing analog and digital sounds with urban beats. His first official release Chances EP (2012) caught the ears of fellow artist and promoters alike, building his reputation as a chief producer and premier engineer in the city. He then cofounded Beatwise Recordings, a haven for innovative beats and experimental instrumental music. With nearly 30 releases under its belt, the independent label has been an unheralded success and a bright spot in the landscape of Brazilian music. While his nights are reserved for stages, Cesrv is always working on new projects with producers and lyricists from across the world.
