Artem Stolyarov, known as both ARTY and ALPHA 9, has earned millions of fans worldwide and filled some of the most coveted clubs and festivals on earth. He arrived at Anjunabeats under his ARTY alias over a decade ago.
Artem later looked inward and found renewed purpose as ALPHA 9, the alias under which he’s explored his true musical identity in recent years. Focusing on the progressive trance that he fell in love with as a teenager, some of Artem’s standout moments as ALPHA 9 include ‘Before The Dawn’, ‘Stellar’, ‘Skin’, and his faithful update of Above & Beyond and Zoë Johnston’s evergreen classic ‘Good For Me’.
In January 2023, the debut ALPHA 9 album emerged. Entitled 'New Horizons', the album has already amassed over 6.4 million streams and is an enticing look at the ALPHA 9 project to date and where it's heading next. Tracks from the album took centre stage during ALPHA 9's Group Therapy 500 set at Banc of California Stadium, Los Angeles, and during his 'New Horizons' album tour across North America.
A key component of Artem's emergence on Anjunabeats as ARTY, 'Zara' was released to great fanfare in January 2011. By now an Anjunabeats classic, 'Zara' helped define the sound of the label. Over a decade later, Artem has revisited the track as ALPHA 9 with a faithful modern update, premiering the remix in his Group Therapy 500 set in October 2022.

ARTY is total genius and artist in true sense with so many great melodies coming out of his tracks. His productions are always forward thinking moving one step ahead. His remix of his classic Zara as ALPHA 9 adds to the original the techy groove that it needs with crunchy bassline, pumping grooves, chunky kicks and cool melodic layers while his breakdown is dreamy as it can get with creamy warm strings, sensual synths and of course the soul touching piano melody that crawls under your skin. The climax is groovy with tribal touches along with euphoric synths turning the track into an irresistible invite to let all our inhibitions go and start dancing like their is no tomorrow.
