ADE 2019: Street parade icons Dr. Motte, Robin Brühlman and Tommy Vaudecrane to feature at ADE Pro

Millions of people take part in street parades every year, but what are they really for, and who picks up the mess afterwards?

At ADE PRO  conference there will be panel that will take a closer look at the how, the why and the where of street parades.

Depending on how you look at them, street parades can be seen as a form of personal and collective liberation or as an ecological car crash. The fans come in their hundreds of thousands in order to spend the day dancing, and of course they generate noise, traffic disruption, as well as tons of litter.

But what do these mass events achieve, what do they stand for and what do they say about both society as a whole and the social dynamics of the electronic scene? What do the host cities get out of them from both a positive and negative point of view?

Organisers of some of Europe’s biggest street-based events will be talking about the highs and lows, how they deal with politicians, why they do what they do, and why they keep on doing such a demanding and complicated job. Featuring the legendary founder of the Love Parade Dr. Motte, Robin Brühlmann of Zurich’s Street Parade and Tommy Vaudecrane of Paris’ Techno Parade.

Date and time for this session to be announced.
