A double delight on Wednesday October 16th with Modeselektor and Richie Hawtin's CLOSE.

Richie Hawtin and Modeselektor will perform live for DGTL at NDSM Warehouse. The two acts will be performing live on Wednesday October 16th.

DJ, producer and techno master Richie Hawtin has been known for years as an artist who connects music, technology and live performance in a special and progressive way. CLOSE is bringing Hawtin’s fans closer to his way of performing and explores the relationship between human creativity and innovative technology.

“I have spent most of my life behind a table half-concealed,” says Hawtin. “The CLOSE show removes the barrier between artist and audience and it feels like I’m in that moment with everybody else."
Two years ago Hawtin kicked off ADE with a memorable pop-up at Nieuwmarkt in collaboration with Loveland.

Before Richie Hawtin’s set, Modeselektor will take the stage. This Berlin duo has been shaping the electronic music scene since the early 2000s with their flamboyant DJ sets and genre-melding productions. During last year's ADE they gave insights about this in an interesting panel on how they run their label and creating their unique, musical identity along with label signing Gajek.

After two tours with Moderat, Modeselektor came back to their musical core with a new live show as part of their latest “Who Else” album tour. They will now bring this live set to ADE, accompanied by their longtime visual collaborators, Pfadfinderei.
"The ultimate goal will always be to have fun with the audience. The visual treatment by Pfadfinderei is an ode to the sense of community the electronic scene has been always about.”
Support of the evening is SOPHIE. The talented Scottish producer returns to ADE after performing in Paradiso Noord last year. She has done co-productions for Madonna and Charli XCX.

About NDSM
The NDSM wharf is an area filled with industrial structures on the former land of the shipbuilding company. It has become a city in itself, including apartment buildings, a slew of eateries and bars, and offices for artists and tech developers. In recent years the various venues have played host to a wide range of artists and organisations during ADE, including Bonobo, Jeff Mills, Monika Kruse, Nina Kraviz, Paul Kalkbrenner, Into the Woods, LET and many more.
