The Welsh music producer and mixer’s portfolio includes a diverse range of artists from Frank Ocean to Weval.
No matter how much talent you may have, and how original your songs are, you still need to find yourself a producer, preferably a very good one, and someone who can master a track brilliantly in order to have a chance of scoring a hit. Which is why this year's ADE Sound Lab is going to focus on the fine arts of production, mastering and sound engineering.
Last year Luca Pretolesi demonstrated how he mastered David Guetta’s ‘Goodbye. The first speaker announced for 2019 is Welsh producer/mixer David Wrench. Based in London, Wrench has worked with some of the world’s most innovative and influential artists including ex-Talking Heads singer and composer David Byrne, The xx, Frank Ocean, Caribou, Sampha, Goldfrapp, Let’s Eat Grandma and Weval. His work regularly garners awards and nominations e.g Grammy’s, Mercury Music Prize, Brit Awards and MPG Award.
Wrench has worked on chart-topping albums in both the UK and the US, and also recently released his own artist project ‘audiobooks’ - debut album ’Now (in a minute!).
Day, time and venue for session to be announced.
