Since winning ADE's Companies to Watch award in 2017, Muzooka has experienced exponential growth with its tech offering expanding and a veritable shopping list of new clients.
The company’s artist roster was at 50,000 when CEO Shawn Wilson accepted the Companies to Watch award last year, and since then that list has grown to over 700,000 of the world’s top acts. "Muzooka continues to build partnerships with industry leaders in ticketing, festivals and conferences, radio, and metadata, to give artists control of their own media assets on those platforms," Wilson said. "And we’re excited to be running a panel on that topic at ADE Tech this year."
Looking at the future, Muzooka intends to continue the growth of its artist database, as well as adding more asset partners, including ticketing companies, festivals, conferences and radio networks. "We are also looking to increase our growing list of Performing Rights Organisations (PROs) to help songwriters globally receive their live performance dollars," Wilson added.
In Companies to Watch, twelve companies were invited to present their ideas in Paradiso on August 22nd for a panel of judges consisting of Jan-Willem van der Meer (CEO of Paylogic), Mark Minkman (Director of Paradiso) and Richard Zijlma (General Manager of ADE).
Among the twelve companies were five winners who are chosen to present their project during ADE Tech on Thursday, October 18th. These five companies are:
- Amuse
- WE:FM
- MXX
- Seeqnc
- Pacemaker
