REVIEW: Sunny Lax - Bad Bye EP out on Anjunabeats

Fresh off the back of his set at ABGT250 at The Gorge alongside label mate Genix, Anjunabeats favourite Sunny Lax returns with his new EP ‘Bad Bye’. Following up from double a-side ‘Pequod / 86’ released earlier this year, Sunny makes a statement solo homecoming, offering up three groove-heavy trancers with title track ‘Bad Bye’, ‘Ceylon’ and ‘Greensight’.

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]One of the strongest Anjunabeats asset is back with a massive 3 tracks EP to make you feel just right. Sunny Lax always delivers great tracks with overdoing himself on Bad Bye EP. Greensight is superb proglifting trancer with pulsating basslines, pumping drums and epic synthy euphoric melodies combined with more melancholic ones in the cinematic breakdown for the perfect bittersweet moment on the trancefloor. The climax ensures direct impact and audience satisfaction. Ceylon has more playful arrangement with leftfield touches and big room trance instances. The breakdown comes quite early with heavenly sunkissed themes and orchestral strings along with gated vocals upon the tripping out break beats. You can not afford to stand still when the beat returns for the immersive euphoric heavenly climax. Lastly Bad Bye goes in the more dark progressive direction with moody basslines, haunting melodies and hypnotic synths. The long breakdown has the Above & Beyond style stamp all over it with incredible sounddesign that invite you to close your eyes, taste the sonic textures details and let yourself go higher than before. #PureGold #PureFuture Love It[/content]
