ADE 2017: Unique Live Electronic Music performances with your ADE Card


The early evening of ADE sees some of the best acts in one-off venues.

Next week will see an Amsterdam take-over with a diverse program going day and night. For all you nightowls that are planning to dance the night away, here is an overview of what the early evening has in store for you. Be sure to check out one or more of these special electronic performances to start up your night with a nice sonic bath.


| Wednesday October 18, 8.30 pm - 10.45 pm. ADE Card holders will receive a special discount of 20% on the regular ticketprice, available here.


A heady electronic concoction of dark noise, subsonic bass and eerie synthesizer tones, Ben Frost’s music engulfs the listener in awe-inspiring waves of sound. This concert he will present a new AV show together with visual artist Marcel Weber / MFO.


| Saturday October 21, 7.30 pm - 10 pm. A limited amount of tickets is available to ADE Card holders for a special discount price of € 20, available here.


Expect adaptations of Carl Craig’s techno masterpieces into powerful symphonic versions. Six musicians, including pianist arranger Francesco Tristano and Craig himself. The result is one large synthesizer-controlled techno-symphony.

Jameszoo & Metropole Orkestra - Fool| Wednesday October 18, 7.30 pm - 9 pm. ADE Card holders will receive a special discount of 50% on the regular ticketprice, available here.

During the opening night of ADE, the Metropole Orkest wants to take on the challenge to translate the ‘uninhabited computer jazz’, as Jameszoo likes to call his work, to an acoustic setting, resulting in a live experience of unique sounding experimental electronic music.

On stage, Binkbeats performs his meticulously detailed compositions in a dazzling live setup, using over fifty instruments and allocating all four limbs like a spider in its web. Also on stage for a solo live set, his good friend and contributor to the EP, Niels Broos. Niels has been a great asset to The Kyteman Orchestra and Jameszoo quintet but now unleashes his own jazz-infused future beats.

Nerdy people doing cool things. Cool people doing nerdy things. Three synthesiser obsessives meet each other for an improvised session. An experiment in sound with no rules, with Sjamsoedin, Kypski, Obtrude, Patrick Detampel & Ashley M Puente.

ADE Live offers adventurous music lovers the opportunity to discover hidden gems and the artists get their moment in the spotlight in front of an audience of fans and professionals including bookers and programmers. This second day of ADE LIVE will take place at Melkweg and Sugarfactory. Sugarfactory will host Chrome Sparks, Matias Aguayo and The Desdemonas and Doldrums, while Melkweg will see Hercules & Love Affair, Marian Hill, Cubicolor and more.
