In recent years the electronic music industry has seen a transition from the standard DJ behind the decks in a t-shirt to proper live performances. And of course, in this environment, there are a number of artists pushing the limits with innovative customised performance systems. The set-ups vary from a mixture of MIDI controllers, keyboards, and outboard synths to drum machines, samplers and electronic drum pads, and sometimes a live musician or vocalist on stage as well. We have put together a lineup of incredible artists such as Dave Clarke, Anthony Rother, Agoria, Matthew Dear, and Rebekah, each one with a distinct performance style and their own personal set-up to produce seamless live performances. The panelists will discuss what it really takes to get a club moving, looking at every aspect from taking a cut down version from the studio to manipulating the tracks live so they sound fresh.
