REVIEW: Arnold & Baggotts - Altair out on Pure Progressive

Second outing here from the buzzing production team of former Godskitchen resident Steve Arnold and respected producer Jamie Baggotts. Their debut ‘Triangulum’ is still firmly lodged in the record boxes of some of the progressive scene’s main players and the duo have cemented their partnership with a series of club shows & mixes. The magic seems to be a combination of Arnold’s many years of experience at the front end of Dj-life via his residency at Godskitchen – learning the production tricks which lock a crowd onto the floor – together with Baggott’s obsession with Global Underground-inspired hypnotic progressive trance. Altair weaves together all these important aspects into a brooding, mammoth of a track.

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]The quality duo Arnold & Baggotts return to the scene of the crime with another adventurous musical journey called Altair. The track is a straight forward progressive trancer that attempts successfully to transfer you from the present to another frame of mind that time is not any more important. The floating melodies, old school synthy hooks, rolling grooves and haunting basslines combined with acid overtones and excellent spoken vocal sample that remind us that the world of sound is infinite. Endless progressive trance that continues the legacy of quality and not quantity progressive sounds. #PureGold Love IT  [/content]
