Mad Decent label manager Jasper Goggins and leading entertainment journalist Rajeev Masand will be sharing their stories about talent scouting, social media and the influence of electronic music in India.

The secrets behind Mad Decent
Jasper Goggins of LA based Mad Decent is the mainstay of the label founded by Diplo in 2005. Over the last 11 years, Mad Decent has scored a string of crossover hits with Major Lazer, Diplo, DJ Snake and Baauer’s Harlem Shuffle, and last year launched sub-label, Good Enuff. Goggins will be revealing how the label has leveraged its in-house musical and production talent, as well as social media and its famous block parties to create a globally famous brand that continues to innovate and surprise its millions of fans. Mad Decent will host one of their famous block parties in Mumbai on March 3, with editions in Hyderabad and New Delhi to follow.
Electronic Music influence in India
Rajeev Masand, one of the very few entertainment journalists in the country to have had two eponymous film shows – Masand Ki Pasand (on Star News) and Rajeev Masand Ki Pasand (currently on IBN7) – which have helped to redefine the rules of how a TV film critic connects with the audience. Masand has been covering the Indian entertainment industry for the last 16 years, starting reporting at the age of 16 for The Times of India. He rose fast, and milestones along the way include being assistant editor at The Indian Express, special correspondent and film critic at Star News, and entertainment editor and film critic at CNN-IBN. At Global Sessions Mumbai he will be hosting the panel Bollywood Beats: Electronic Music influence in India.
