ADE 2016: ADE BeamLab invites Daniel Popper, Pfadfinderei and Noisia


The forward thinking and multi-disciplinary element of ADE has wrapped up its program.

After the recent announcement about Absolut's FACET concept and the 10 performances not to miss it is now time for ADE BeamLab, the conference dedicated to cutting-edge visual technologies and high-end stage design.

On Thursday October 20th, the Main Hall in the Compagnietheater will turn into a hub of all things visually dynamic, as some of the biggest forces come together to present their latest works. Kicking off at 8PM, the talks will bring together the likes of Heleen Blanken and Pfadfinderei, finishing off at 11pm with a special ‘Closing Drinks’ event provided by Absolut.

Noisia on Outer Edges Show 
Globetrotting, Dutch success story Noisia share their on-the-road production secrets ash Italian lighting director Lorenzo Fattori -assistant light director for Manuel Rodrigues-, video director Roy Gerritsen and French costume designer Elodie Laurent explain how they worked together to produce the act’s Outer Edges live show.

The Art of VJing and Dance with Peter Van Hoesen and Heleen Blanken 
Peter Van Hoesen and leading Dutch visual artist Heleen Blanken will discuss their sources of inspiration, contribution to contemporary club culture and the joint art installation in the Rembrandt House Museum that is exhibited during ADE.

A Creative Journey with Daniel Popper
Hailing from Cape Town, Daniel Popper has been impressing global audiences with his interactive art and architecture, while more recently he’s been merging sculpture with electronic music, LED and projection mapping. This summer he created the Boom Shaman at Boom Festival by merging cutting-edge projection mapping technology with organic sculpture, leading to what many describe as a mind blowing effect. Catch up with the innovative designer and he talks about Popper talks about his creative process.

Synchronized VJing with Jaap Drupsteen 
Dutch graphic designer Jaap Drupsteen will attempt to tackle the issue of synchrozing beats with visual content by show excerpts of his recent show at the Gogbot Festival, which is a mixture of some of his work being exhibited at the Rijksmuseum in Twenthe.

Pfadfinderei 
The Berlin-based design and motion graphics studio company, best known for their work with Moderat and Boys Noize have excelled in their ability to go beyond screen work, and apply innovative ideas to fusing light, video and spatial design. This is a unqiue opportunity to catch the dynamic, creative aritsts as they discuss how everything within the team works.
