Helsinki’s Yotto (aka Otto Yliperttula) returns to Anjunadeep with his third ‘Essential New Tune’ in six months. Debuted by Danny Howard on BBC Radio 1 with the prestigious title, it continues a remarkable run that has also seen both Otto’s recent remix of RÜFÜS and dark club hit ‘Personal Space’ awarded the gong.
Packed with trademark brooding atmosphere, subtle harmonics and power-house groove, ‘Aviate’ encapsulates the dark driving sound Yotto has developed over the past 12 months, earning him support from Pete Tong, Kölsch, Tensnake, Dusky, Thugfucker, Kidnap Kid and Gorgon City.
Yotto strips back the energy in ‘Crosswalk’, whilst retaining heaps of tension, masterfully using a single chiming riff to whip up drama in a rousing crescendo. An Ibiza terrace weapon in the making.

Summary
Yotto does his special magic production tricks once again as he touches with his magic wand and delivers two superb deep progressive house productions that take us back in the days when the progressive house scene was really strong and what really mattered was the deep journey and not the immediate gratification. Both Aviate and Crosswalk are packed with deep brooding moody basslines, techy chunky tribal grooves and live like percussions while the melancholic dystopian synths appear to attract the attention and invite the listener to a hypnotic dark mysterious journey. Quality not quantity cuts from Yotto who raises his career one step ahead with each of his releases. Love iT
