REVIEW: Way out West - Tuesday Maybe (The Remixes) out on Anjunadeep

Over the course of their 20-year partnership as Way Out West, Nick Warren and Jody Wisternoff have amassed an enviable array of achievements, touring the world and remixing artists like James Holden, UNKLE, Orbital and St. Etienne.

'Tuesday Maybe', the first piece of music from their new artist album now receives remixes from two exciting acts; one a legendary pioneer, the other an emerging talent.

I:Cube aka Nicolas Chaix rose to prominence in the 90's alongside contemporaries Daft Punk, and has established himself as a stalwart of the Parisian scene. Acclaimed recent remixes for Todd Terje, Prins Thomas and José Padilla have seen him return to prominence in the past 12 months, and he follows with another beauty, bringing a texured Balearic edge to the delicate strings and wistful emotion of the original.

Amateur Dance is a rising talent from Melbourne, whose sound 'lifts you above the dancefloor and keeps you there' according to a recent Resident Advisor review. His remix builds around a tough driving groove and sparkling keys towards a memorable crescendo.
