Dimitri Kechagias review: Enhanced Progressive is considered as one of the main players in the trance scene and the latest EP by Daun Giventi showcases one of the hottest upcoming talents who delivers his magnificent futuristic beats and pieces. Firstly is the superb Perpetual Motion that can be characterised as big room/proglifting trance at its very best as it combines clubby bouncy basslines, pounding techy drums and beautiful ethereal melodies. Particularly the breakdown is truly cinematic with sweet piano melodies, electronic synthy themes, heavenly voices and chill out relaxing atmosphere. The very strong synthy plucks come at the forefront and lead the track to the full on euphoric climax that still retains some kind of darkness and moodiness making it perfect for Coldharbour recordings type of choices in your set. Sutra on the other side moves in the more melodic dreamy progressive trance direction with chunky techy grooves, slamming punchy kicks and pulsating driving basslines along with heavenly style voices on top. The track is more playful and optimistic with the freshness of new day sunrise all over it. The breakdown is imaginative with sound design that brings mental images in your mind and allow you for a while to free float along piano chords, airy pads, heavenly dreamy voices and sparkling melodic themes on the style that Above & Beyond adore.
