After the successful launch of his Universal Nation Podcast in 2015, Trance legend Alex M.O.R.P.H. takes the next step in his UNstoppable career, presenting his own label: Universal Nation. A genre-crossing imprint within the musical spectrum he’s so much loved for.
Firing up the very first release is a massive collab by Alex M.O.R.P.H. himself with Switzerland’s finest psy-trance artist Liquid Soul called The Journey. A truly big bang to kick off the Universal Nation label.
Dimitri Kechagias review: Universal Nation is the brand new record label headed by the trance legend Alex M.O.R.P.H. who presents his first release and collaboration with Liquid Soul called The Journey. The track is what the title implies and that is a massive hypnotic melodic psy tech trance journey with sharp kicks, pounding drums and driving razor sharp basslines. The melody in the breakdown is epic but very stable and the spoken vocal sample adds character and style to the final result. The climax continues on the same way as the first part before the breakdown without delivering an uplifting euphoric crescendo we were expecting from a record that has Alex signature as well. It would be so beautiful if this release included Liquid Soul and Alex M.O.R.P.H. remixes. We just hope that Alex will stay firm on the ground of the melodic uplifting trance and his label will serve wide variety of subgenres but with main priority the melodic trance community as psy trance is great for dark trance journeys but we need more hope and light in this already grey hostile world. 10/10 #LikeIT
