REVIEW: Lange vs Gareth Emery - Another You Another Me (VANDIT15 Remixes) out on VANDIT

Almost 10 years ago, Lange & Gareth Emery fired a big ‘wake-up’ shot across the bows of trance… Their creative debut collaboration ‘Another You, Another Me’ was a synth-pop-inspired floor-quake, which camped out at the top of many DJs end of year charts.

For VANDIT’s next 15 Years Of… release, their 2006-defining masterstroke has been revised by a quartet of this year’s trancefloor movers & shakers. Eddie Bitar’s given it a tech aspect, while Paul Thomas & Chris Bekker have conspired on a rebuild so strong, it prompted the UK’s DJ Mag to nod it their November trance Single of the Month.

With their mix, Corti Organ have delivered a stunning, standout update to the ‘Another You, Another Me’s instantly recognisable riff, while the pairing of Solis & Sean Truby have gone all-guns-uplifting on their version.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Paul van Dyk's exceptional label VANDIT records celebrates 15 years and is the perfect occasion to commission some new remixes and update their beloved classics with the new current sounds. The collaboration by Lange and Gareth Emery lands with 4 must play or quit your dj job type of track. First the always on great form Eddie Bitar delivers an exceptional slice of psy tech entertainment that starts dark and moody but in the breakdown allows the well known epic riff in all its glory with great breakbeat underneath. The climax is sharp, edgy and right on the spot Eddie style. Paul Thomas and Chris Bekker deliver the smashing progressive trance friendly version with pulsating vavooming basslines, pounding rolling drums and great drive that keep you dancing and moving and shaking and jumping all night long. The well known melody has its place in the breakdown while the climax goes for an epic synthy infused euphoria. Corti Organ remix played by Armin in his show is another little monster that u should experience. Electro groovy trancer with big room potential ready for mainstage performances. The bassline is so fat and meaty that you feel it radiating all over your body. The breakdown is long and teasing while the climax goes rough and vicious with psy touches. The beloved boys Solis & Sean Truby who always deliver exceptional remixes provide the stunning modern progressive trance version that is perfect for the middle moment of your set. Bubbly basslines, fat energetic grooves and exceptionally long and heartfelt breakdown with the best climax that applies the original melody and plays around with it with stop and goes and hands in the air touches. Lets hope more Solis & Sean Truby on Vandit records. #PureGold Love It
